jordan made everyone good around him....pippen is irrelevant without jordan. so yes, boykisser, he got in the hall of fame because of his years with the bulls with jordan....
No shit he made everyone better but that doesn't mean anyone could fill the roll of Pippen. And did you just call me a boykisser? Haha

the 1995-1996 chicago bulls were pretty good................but i think we all know that the best teams in nba history were the 1955-1956 vancouver grizzlies, and the 2040-2041 seattle supersonics. the 872-873 san diego clippers were also quite dominant.
If one of Shawn Kemp's great grandchildren is on that Sonics team, then I highly agree!

Pippen and the Bulls were a bad call away from going to the ECF in 94 taking the Knicks to 7 games without Jordan and managed to win 55 games. Pippen also won All Star game MVP that season too. Jordan never did anything without Pippen...If Pippen wasn't shit without Jordan and Jordan was responsible for all his success than why didn't Jordan win anything before Pip showed up? Don't be stupid...Pippen was a great player who was a beast defender and initiated the offense for the Bulls and should get more credit than he gets for those title runs in the 90s.

*yawn* ok and the 2 years without jordan he went to the championship game how many times?? jordan was doing it and could not get passed the pistons with a team full of nobodies pre pippen....as he did with the wins through 91-93 with pippen, grant, armstrong, cartwright, paxson....pippen is equal to horace grant, do you remember when he got that big orlando deal and didnt mount up to shit....sounds familiar....

I don't give a shit about all that. My post was talking about how you thought without Jordan, Pippen wasn't a great player...that wasn't true..Pippen was one of the best players in the league and led the team to 55 wins and almost an ECF trip when Jordan was gone. So Jordan didn't 'make' Pippen look like a great player..he was a great player.

Yeah Jordan and the Bulls were dope. What about Bill Russell though? I haven't seen much of the films are done too much research but the dude had 2 NCAA championships (junior and senior years) and won NBA championships in 11 of his 13 years with the Celtics. That's 13 championships in 15 seasons. Oh and plus he won a gold medal in the Olympics. I'm not saying dude would be able to take Jordan in a game of one on one when both were in their prime; but for their time can you really say Bill Russell didn't dominate the game better than any other player (in any sport) of his time.

Bill Russell was an amazing player for his time. One of the best ever. Another player people forget about is Dr. J, Julius Erving. He was really the original Jordan in a lot of ways and influenced MJ's style of play.

Just watched this; gave me goosebumps.

Edit: So pissed my dad never took me to a Sonics Bulls game so I could see Jordan play. People, if you have kids, take them to see great athletes.

Kareem, Magic, Wilt, Hakeem, Bird are all up there...Kobe will also be in GOAT talks once his career is over....MJ was great, but he was also the NBA\'s biggest marketing tool, which caused him 2 be extremely overrated by the general public. step it up.
