since when did becoming old make you weak? i see alot of muthafuckas on here talkin' about "oh that cat's washed up, he's too old, his time has pasted, give the younger generation more shine" don't you gotta earn your shine through good music?

it's about how you come on the mic, it ain't about how old you are or what generation you come from it's about GOOD MUSIC

so spice 1, c-bo, rbl, 4-tay, jt, keep doin' it

Becoming old dosnt make you weak but in the music game the majority of the people buying albums are young so they want to hear from people more there own age.

Plus we heard everything E-40 and them been talking about for almost 20-years it's time to pass the torch... We will always support the old school but its the new schools turn.

100% true, but i see alot of hate being thrown at these cats cause of their age, but i see what you're sayin'

agreed nbpsfc!!!

veterans know how to do their music because they've been in the game so long. some young rappers do come proper from time to time, but those new rappers are flooding the market. leave the game to the professionals, but if you young and got spitz, be my guest.

there isn't nothing wrong wit listening to rappers that've been in the game over 10 years. if anything those rappers have mastered their craft and continue to make good music(sometimes).

getting old dont make you weak, its the ones who get some money then get old then get weak. Mac Dre was at his best when he was in his mid thirties, and only getting stronger before that coward took him from us.

Every generation will hold certain people from their youth to a higher regard than the incoming generation, I used to watch Rowdy Roddy Piper, Sgt. Slaughter and Hacksaw Jim Dugan, abd comarison but whatever

If they put out something good I'll support it, I'm sticking to my spice 1 comments though because in my opinion he hasn't came with anything tight since Black Bossalini. That doesn't mean he wasn't tight back in the day or doesn't have the potential to come tight again but when you havn't made anything memorable in 9 or 10 years I'm not gonna hold my breath.

Its like putting faith in Master P or Silkk The Shocker coming out with another heater, it could happen but probably wont

now this is the reality of life...most don't get their shit together(doing what they want to do, not what their told to do) until the mid and late 30's

jayda i respect what you gotta say cause you know what you're talking about, and i agree with you on some issues, but i said it before and i'll say it again with people like spice 1 it's the beats, if you just listen to how he spits it's the same as 1990-sick and amerika's nightmare the ONLY thing i don't like about his new shit is some of the content and i blame that on 2Pac, lol he needs to stop rappin' about women so much and get better beats other than that he'll KILL so many of these weak ass fools on the mic now, but all of ya'll got good points

I do think though when you hit that age and experience level its time to start thinking about bowing out of the game with integrity, and assisting those coming up underneath you. Like Randy Johnson should retire before his abilities disappear into embarassment, and start to school the young players, start coaching, for example

^Yea but before all them cat's there were older cats that been in the Game before them and mother fuckers were saying the same shit.

The problem is Rap is to over produced with these lables and shit.... Nobody can just be original it's always some corporate shit that will put on top you can't speak from the heart and sell records anymore you have to be a good image so you can sponser some shit later.

true, on a underground level there's more and more bullshit that's coming out, after 2000 everybody was coming out with too many albums just to compete, and people got lost in the schuffle

you can take anybody from the 80's or 90's and put them with a GOOD beat and i'll bet you money the song will come out golden
