Come on homie...You went a bit far with Craig Mack. The old most are talking about isn't strictly age based. If you are in the game 10-15 years and you keep saying and doing the same shit...then you are taking up space. If you just going to rap about what you did when you were hot...then you got to go. I personally love it when the O.G. cats are still on top of their game. They combine their knowledge and talent in a way that MOST young artist can't.
i know craig mack personally and to this day i think he is one of best freestylers on earth . he would chew up most emcees on the planet to this day. just cause yall aint herad him since the biggie days dont mean he hung up the mic. that cat is ill

since when did becoming old make you weak? i see alot of muthafuckas on here talkin' about "oh that cat's washed up, he's too old, his time has pasted, give the younger generation more shine" don't you gotta earn your shine through good music?

it's about how you come on the mic, it ain't about how old you are or what generation you come from it's about GOOD MUSIC

so spice 1, c-bo, rbl, 4-tay, jt, keep doin' it
fuck all these old ass niggas cuz cuz, them niggas is geazers.. That's like me rooting for George Forman to get back in the ring, fuck these old niggas, these old niggas be the main ones complaining about shit.. only nigga that get a pass is Spice 1.

^^^Well that's stupid to say because we don't know what kind of music Pac would be putting out now. I do believe rap should be geared more towards youngsters, and at a certain age, dudes should bow out gracefully.

It all depends on how to deversify your subject matter. look at Quik & Ice Cube, shit even Messy, etc have found different, more mature subjects to talk about as they got older. Then look at Spice 1, MC Eiht, C-Bo, etc. who have been saying the same shit for too long. There recent albums have become interchangable.

I don't think you can really say at a certain age ex: 32, 35 a rapper should give it up, however some guys should just know when there time is up. It is possible that a rapper that you like is simply past his/her prime, and you shouldn't get mad at other people for voicing that.

Pac was on his way to retirement from the mic. He felt that rap was a young mans game. He planned on mentoring alot of the youngins in his camp.
