Before Beanie Sigel drops his latest much-anticipated album B. Coming on March 29, a pair of Dash Film-produced documentaries featuring the currently incarcerated rapper will air on MTV2 and BET.

A half-hour special titled "The Trial: Beanie Sigel," produced by Damon Dash's film company Dash Films, airs tonight (March 23) at 7: 30 p.m. E.T. on BET, with a re-airing on March 26 and March 28.

"The Trial" tails Sigel as he goes through his trial in Philadelphia on federal gun charges, meanwhile the now dispersed Roc-A-Fella affiliates and members, Damon Dash, Jay-Z, Kanye West, and State Property lend support.

"The Trial" documents the frenzy that surrounded Sigel before the Philadelphia rapper was sentenced to a year in federal prison, in addition to his preparation for jail.

Sigel makes a second documentary run on March 29 when MTV2 airs "The Truth: Beanie Sigel" at 7:30 p.m. E.T., also produced by Dash Films. Beanie himself narrates the story of his life and career in his own words.

"The Truth" takes a more personal slant and chronicles Sigel's history from his hustler beginnings in South Philly to his meeting with Jay-Z and Damon Dash and signing with Roc-A-Fella Records.

Additional MTV2 air-dates for "The Truth: Beanie Sigel" will be announced.

"State Property II," which Sigel stars in, also hits theaters on April 13.

Beanie always spits hard in my opinion. I have liked both his other albums alot so I will pick this up no doubt. I did have the feeling that this album was going to be kind of slapped together though, but what ever I am still going to swoop it and listen for myself.

Ill probley pick it up, his second album was good and had some deep tracks on it like 'Tales of a Hustla' and 'Moms praying'. The only track i still play from his first is 'Die' (the track thats playing when they shot up the court room in State property.) shits deep.

Not a huge Beanie fan...

but I picked this up on impulse and it's not bad at all.

Some of the slow tracks and hooks drag it down a little. The Redman and "Bread & Butter" tracks are knockin' doe. It's pretty consistent overall.
