dude!!! its fucking CG...
ok its not really proof but there is a dude listed as the digital effects artist for "The Deep", and his other credits include "Shrek The Third", "Shrek 2", "Madagascar".....all CG movies. plus the dude who pointed it out to me is a digital animator also, so they kind of have an eye for it. once you are looking for it you can definitely tell. he pointed a couple other parts out also but im not 100% convinced by all of them so the only "for sure" one is where they show the submersible navigating around underwater...how could that not be CG unless they had a second multi million dollar submersible to film the other one miles under the sea
and obviously you havent seen the coral one if you are saying thats not CG, because thats the most obvious CG ever!!! they are zooming inside coral to show the different parts of it....clearly 110% CG...
