Vallejo: A group called Lover Twins had a 12 inch probably around 95-96 called Hubba Heads, produced by Khayree. Rod Amp who has done some producing for me was in that group. Chezski from Potna Deuce also had a group called "Latin Lovers" that had about 10 songs that were only availble in the streets. The Funky Aztecs also had a tape called "Integrated Resistance". I forget what they were called back then. This was probably around 1988. The Mac also came out around this time too. I might be forgetting a couple of other releases.

wrong..Hugh E MC was from Frisco. And before his Hi-nigga Groove EP he had a 12" with some bass-type stuff called I Dont Stop.. like 1988 or so... IMP had the EP wit Scanless,Im Rollin, bass Kick, and Dumbmuthas in like 1990 or so.. total Devestation had an EP out around that time too...rappin over "The Power" by Snap...lol... I remember goin to Tower or Creative Music every week tryin to buy 12" of this shit.

APG crew was out of oakland, had the ill 12" wit the graffitti on it..Capital tax around that time, hammer in 87..but yeah..Short was the earliest bay rapper i heard, like 85... and Bitch Aint Nuttin But a Word by Short & Icecube was the first time i remember a bay cat with anyone from LA.

one yall forgot..Timex Social Club... started around 82...Vicious Rumours in 86..how do rumours get started... Mike Marshall was their lead singer.. they broke up, and reformed as Club nuveau...Why You Treat Me So Bad.. sampled for 5 On It.. props to Jay King

I remember the Mac out of the V, and Big Ocean Mobb too back in the day.. just my thoughts and rememberances of the bay.
