Whats up this is Daric B. I just wanted to let you all know that the 2nd Bay Area Rap Summit will be in October in San Francisco. After the summit we will be having the 1st Bay Area Mixtape Awards. Stay posted for more info.

I also wanted to let you know that we are Not apart of the Bay Area Rap Scene Awards, also B.A.R.S. I wish they could have used another name that was not already taken. I wish them success, next time get at us.

Hope no one take this that im hatin but it dont even seem like them cats who doing that award show know about the rap sumit people.so I dont think they named it to copy you at the same time B-A-R-S is used by other people for different organisationz in the bay area so what does that mean

With all due respect, and anyone who's been on these message boards for the past few years knows that B-12 has used the term "Bay Area Rap Summit" and used the acronym BARS for 4 or 5 years now. Anyone involved in bay music online knows that.

Right on to Daric B. for clearing up the affiliation or lack thereof with Bay Area Rap Scene Awards.
