This thread is for the producers/ Beat makers... and hopefully rappers looking for beats. Also anyone who's bored and wants to be a critic.

Don't spam the board, if you got a new beat throw it in here.

^ I agree

I use to hate "tagging" my beats, so I started putting acapella's of songs over them years ago.... some how I turned into a remix producer in the process haha

That shit is raw... how do you go about timing the acapella to your beats? Everyone does it different. I First find the song the vocals is from, and beat grid that, then match the acapella to it exactly... then erase the song, and lock the acapella to the bpms. From there I can add any beat and any bpm and have it right on pocket

Yea...Everyone has their own method.........Mine is similar 2 yours, I'll usually find a pella, find the original mix and line those up (you gotta watch it with diy pellas--dj's tend 2 stretch the ish out of them) then either bring a previously made track in or make something new.. (depending on inspiration)

@Tay....send me a vocal session....... sftraxx[at]gmail .

I use to have a motif, and some racks... sold all the extra shit and use Ableton with a mpk controller, and lots of vsts, and kontakt samples.

I also use Acid Pro a lot... before people go hate on Acid Pro, go listen to Danger Mouse haha He did the whole Gnarls Barkley on that...

True 2 people can have the same exact equipment... one makes wack beats, other makes grammy winning classics

I been really wanting to learn the reaktor plug in, any familiar with that? Its a create your own patch, synth program. It's be nice to create your own trademark style sounds that no one else in the world is rocken but you.

Never used the reaktor but most synths allow you to play with them to create all kinds of dope sounds. I personally like to use a combination of familiar sounds and also integrate something outta left field too...when I'm in composition mode, nothing is off limits..
