The formats were pretty much the same except with The Battle of the Rappers people called in their votes and on Big SHot computer voting was used. The problem is both formats have to do with who has the most friends not the most talent. Can we get a legitimate contest that has real judges that are music industry execs ?

Some of you may not remember the Battle of The Rappers segment on KMEL back in the day but I believe Joker won it and came out with an album afterwards.

Yall killin me with this friends calling in swaying votes shit...look do you know how many people listen to KMEL during Big Von's show...and you think one nigga wit a bunch of buddies can do that much damage-no youre wrong...the truth is ALL OF THOSE SONGS WERE HORRIBLE and thats it and thats all...not just the tracks, but also the rapping...so you can get EA-SKI and Kanye West put them in the studio wit Dr Dre and have Beyonce sing the hook...them dudes still COULDN'T RAP...I think alot of people think they can win because the entries were so weak that in theory damn near anybody wit a 4track had a chance...BAY AREA HAVE SOME PRIDE AND LISTEN TO YOUR BAY ARTIST THAT ARE DOING WELL- THEY ALL CAN SPIT! I love the bay and shit, but hardwork gets results not bitchin about how ya homies homies cousins potna should have won.

Bill $tack shit is hot!! who are you to call all them songz horrible, what moves are you makin, how many cd'z you got out??? shit most cats dont even get there shit on the radio so thats a big step....Everyone wants to talk this and that about the competition and the rigged votes, but aint no one given credit were it's due my cuzz won that shit not cause he had hella people votin but because some cats was feelin his shit!! speak on it!!

Getting your shit on the radio is only half the battle man. How many of you are getting paid for each time they play your songs on the radio ? Legitimate artists get paid royalties for each time the song is played. I listened to Bill $tack on Northern Ridaz and I liked his album it was cool.

I am person who has put my money where my mouth is and bought a shit of Bay artist music with the hopes of coming across some quality hot shit...I am what alot of you rappers neglect- I am a FAN! Man Bloodline your post was righ on the money! whars the definition of HOT! When people think so that dont you! If shit was Hot there it would have won J2 was pretty good i thought he was the best one in the but the public didnt.. It take more than your frenz to vote cuz hslf the time you get more love and support from a starnger than you do from a fren! man i listened to sooo much of that shit!, man some of that shit couldnt even got listen too, one cat wrote his info in crayon on the cd on a post it no one could read.. man im sure there are so worse stories than that..
