Do your jobs ever trip off of you guys calling in due to the weather ?

I mean, I know there are some cases that are unavoidable, but like are they pretty understandable about it ?

Honestly man it doesn't really snow that much up here around the Seattle area. Usually only once or twice a year and almost never this much snow. We got 6 inches in Seattle and that's more or less unheard of. Plus all the slush and such is going to turn to solid ice tommorow and it's going to be below freezing all day so it's not going to melt.

If I do call out tommorow because of snow it will be for the first time since I got my first job at 16.

LOL, its funny hearing you guys talk about driving in snow and shit, lol. I hear ya though, when that shit turns to ice, yer in for something else. Fuck though, snow is fun and easy to drive in, but if you got ice... that's when I'd say fuck driving, unless of course you are out on a lake and wanna have some fun spinnin' shittys.

Weird shit though... Southern MN got dumped on last night and we were supposed to get 1-3 inches where I'm at but we didn't get shit. I guess we're supposed to get like 5 or 6 inches tomorrow though and then its gonna continue snowing into Sunday so I have no idea what the total accumilation will be.

Bus Hanging Over I-5 After Crash
Friday, December 19, 2008 – updated: 1:20 pm PST December 19, 2008

SEATTLE -- A bus is hanging over Interstate 5 near Denny Way after a crash in Seattle.

Two buses collided at Melrose Avenue East and East Thomas Street and one bus went through the guardrail and is partially hanging over the interstate.

The Seattle Fire Department says no injuries have been reported and that everyone is off both buses.

A representative from King County Metro said neither of the buses involved are Metro buses, but they are tour buses.

Angela Maxie said her daughter Nicole was on a Northwestern Trailways tour bus that was hanging over I-5.

Maxie said her daughter is in shock because she had to climb out of the bus through glass as it was hanging over the freeway.

Angela said that bus was filled with people coming home from a Job Corps trip.

One right lane of I-5 northbound is also blocked at Denny Way due to the incident.

The cause of the accident is not immediately known, but winter weather has left many city streets coated with ice

I just called my work and told them I'm not coming in unless they want to pay for a cab to pick me up and drop me off. They told me it's okay to stay home lol.
