ok......couple of things......
first off, Legal Dope WAS a black market project. ced might not of got full credit for that but look at the artists that were on it......and the time period....
Lynch, Homicide, Mr Doc, Cold World, Master P, Big Mac, etc....
all had ties with Ced at the time. happens to be the same time that Ced was talking with priority about Lynch.
everyone can say what they want about why black market never took off and you can throw names out there like tommy boy, priority, master p, etc...
but what do all of these companys have in common???? they RIP people OFF. where is tommy boy right now? non exsistant.... priority records....where??? master p?? where? yea Ced probably could of gotten Lynch a big time major name for himself by taking one of those bullshit deals...however, ask Daz what he thinks about his death row deal, shit, ask SNOOP what he thinks about his death row deal, why did Snoop come find lynch and do that dogg market track out of love, cause that shit that Ced turned down was bogus. you can bring up big name record companys that doesnt mean just cause a major is interested that its a good look.
if Ced and Lynch would of stayed tight and worked thru all that then Lynch would still be in the words of many instead of tryin to bounce back.
but ask Ced, ask Art, ask Lynch...everyone points the finger somewhere else.
the problem with any label that starts in the streets.....the money man fronts some cash, the artist loves that cash, then when the artist sees that he is good for much more then the original $$ they get sour.
lynch is good folks but the best thing he did was get rid of Art. too bad he didnt do that 7 years ago.
