Man, I went to Tower to see if they had any Jacka CDs left (no luck) and was assaulted by 20,000 Celly Cel "Deep Conversation" cassettes and 500,000 JT "Something Crucial" CDs not to mention 10,000 WhoRidas "Corner Store" CDs and 1 million San Quinn "Repossesions" CDs in addition to 5 billion each of (name of random Bay Area compilation) and 12 trillion of the Criminalz CD.

Basically, a ton of titles that were in the Tower.com .99 Bayside CD sale many moons ago pretty much filled all the racks in the rap section at all 3 SF Towers I went to yesterday.

At the Stonestown location, they had them Celly cassettes stacked up in a maze. LOL!

They were trying to get rid of them at $2 a pop. LOL!

I think BED, in its heyday a few years back, printed just a bit too much of some of these titles. They sorta overestimated the demand for these things. I know some folks on this board were involved woth BED and can probably shed light on how many of each were printed.

Who's been to the last days of Tower recently and knows what I'm talkin about?

i was at the stonestown last thursday.....they had hella shit that just came from their storage or some shit......copped a few cd's a 5 bucks a pop....million dollar dream comp, herm, freako and the mossie album...

lol... I can imagine it now. How dope was that .99 sale, that shit was crackin for a good minute, I had two crates Fed-Ex international, delivery dude was like this ain't no joke, how many CD's did you buy? I was throwin so much shit in my cart on their site I didn't even see mis-keyed quantities, I got 11 copies of that Mac Shawn Worldwide Bosses CD by mistake.

If what you say is true, Celly need to go down there himself, buy the whole lot and hand em out to the kids. There's your future audience right there and they practically givin em away anyway. I'm curious - can your CD soundscan if you're sellin it at a crazy-ass price like that? New entry on Billboard, Celly Cel Deep Conversation has scanned 30,000 1 cent cassettes in SF.

The Tower up here in Reno has the same shit. I am waiting until it goes up to 90% off though and I am going to go back and by the Fidel Castro album. Anyone remember him? Anyone know their final day of being open?

Good shit. When they had that internet blowout sale a while back I got like 120 cd's. That was a good comeup, but I think I'll check out the store in the next week or so to grab anything I missed.
