ASAP Nast* fuckin autocorrect

ASAP is versatile as hell, Rocky and Ferg while they have mixed sounds, majority of their songs come off with a southern style.

But Nast and Twelvy bring the late 90's NY sound. Nast flowing like a COTC member in this song.

Nah, I don't think their biting because it's the NY 90's hip hop sound and their always have been rappers that stayed true to that sound.
i think pro era brought that sound back. i dont know too many people who have been sounding like the 90s. asap was on that texas shit they tryna act like they had levels in this shit all the sudden lol

btw i kinda think pro era is wack. they remind me of a updated east coast jurrasic 5

asap nast did it best so far. i didnt hear meths verse yet

I kinda like some Pro Era stuff mostly the stuff from Capital STEEZ and Joey but their getting overhyped because people are acting like their the 1st one to bring that sound back.

who would you credit with bringing the 90's sound back, FULLY? not just a song or two, but made it their whole style/schtick?

uncle murda or masta killa kinda had that 90's flow but i dont feel as if they purposely made it their thing. as of recently people are really, really, trying to emulate that 90s shit. its kinda awkward if you ask me.

Well, to start off pretty much everybody that's signed to Duckdown records and most of the Wu-Tang members/affliates. Blaq Poet, NYG'z, Maffew Ragazino, Ruste Juxx, Termanology and Reks. Just to name a few. All have been around before Pro Era.

Duck down don't have a throwback sound, just cuz they are from the 90s don't mean that's they whole style bro lol neither does wu, wu used to say 'You won't get this till 10 years later' masts kills I can agree w but iono if I'm with you on that...we can agree to disagree tho

Seems like your mixing up ppl that were poppin in the 90s that still rap the same with someone using the sound of the 1990s as their whole sound
currently

But if you really believe that no need to go back and forth. That's cool. My outlook was like, someone like Jurassic 5 doing 80s music, but just in the 90s instead. 1990s had a lot of dope music and it's not the easiest to emulate.

Duck down has changed throughout the years, buckshot with bdi thug, tech from smif and Wesson got a mike Tyson tat and changed his whole style, rusty juxx just raps how he raps, Sean p changed with the times etc etc. as far as wu they always claimed to be futuristic in comparison except masta killa to me, they may give a nod to the earlier days of rap but that's not they whole style encompassed or nothin.

Everyone in the 90s has been around since pro era..,that's like tens and thousands of people, that wasn't what I was sayin lol..maybe u don't get what i mean or somethin but it's all good

Pro era are ill kids who were like 4 in the 90s...so it's a lil more obvious they're trying to do that versus someone who was rappin in the 90s that didn't change much and that's based on them not being able to change with the times, more so than wanting to emulate the 90s sound

A good example of someone who raps in the 90s-80s style purposely would be edan

All the other examples u mentioned I don't listen to. U could be right on them but I wouldn't know

pro era saw that 90s is big in the tumblr world since raider klan and lil ugly mane and a$ap mob was fucking with 90's gangsta rap sounds and styles, but no one was really doing 90s east coast rap so they started to rap nonsense over mf doom instrumentals, but forgot lil b did mf based mixtape before they even probably rapped and mr mfe came out with song over old necro instrumental in huzzah

statik selektah always had guys like pro era, but kids like to hype up kids in skinny jeans more than termanology

nast and twelvyy always been more like rappidy rap rappers from asap mob than rest of the crew, so it makes sense nast is rapping over beats like this. method man verse is ill

now back to lil b
