Zito set the tone for the rest of the game it looked like. I had to work, but I when I looked at the score I was trippin! Zito got rocked man! There's 161 games more to go though so who really cares...

He was getting squeezed a little early on but instead of dealing with it he fell apart... He'll be fine though.

Yeah I'm not worried or concerned what so ever...The A's don't get really good until the second half anyway...

If the A's play solid before the All Star break, then I am one concerned. They have been a "second-half team" lately.

Even though there are 162 games in the season, you KNOW how it always ends in each league. A game will make you or break you in the wild card race.
Then again, it's just one game.

Whatever though, bad start. No big deal.

Zito was all over the fuckin place... i was against starting him opening day as it is because he has like a 6.60 ERA in April. he's consistently shitty in the beginning of the year.

I guess the game tonight is supposed to get rained out, but i hope it doesnt. I'd like to see how Harden plays and how he pitches to the 'Yanks.

Shit.... at least the Sharks won last night.

Last season if they were down 4-0 in the 4th or 5th you'd think it's over...

Good performance by Haren against the best offensive team in the league... Another strong performance by the bullpen... Good baserunning... 6 RBI's by the new guys (Thomas & Bradley,) everything's coming together...

Yeah, Thomas' double in the 8th capped things off real nice. That's exactly what we need/expect of the Big Hurt. A big confidence booster for all new players.

yeah man... i was kinda nervous after that first game, but we totally hung w/ the yanks the past two nights and took the series. bring on the mariners....
