You know there's a game tonight, right?

Oh yeah, Meche is pitching... I probably wouldn't have said anything either.
Meche is boo-boo...he had one a half good years...fuck him...i cant beleive we kept HIM over Bobby(who got clamied by KC)...and then they put HIM ahead of Felix in the rotation????WOWZERS!!!!!

They want to take pressure off Hernandez... They're not putting him on the tickets, schedules, nothing... It's probably a good idea.

So does anyone think that Seattle could actually compete for the division?
If we had a much more consistant pitching staff...YES.

Dont let the rotation fool you the first couple starts...they aint shit....

I predict that Meche will be OUT of the rotation by his 6th start...

And "Steady Eddie" my ass...whata chump...

But i will say that Johjima has AL ROY written all over him....and we will have one of the best defenses AGAIN this year...Betancourt,Lopez and Reed are ALL Gold Glove threats....and you already know Ichiro got it locked...but Beltre cant win it with Chavez at 3rd...Richie Sexson has an outside chance at 1st...

^Isn't Hernandez still eligible for ROY?

Johjima is BRUTAL behind the plate, he swats at the ball when he catches it and takes a LOT of strikes away from the pitcher... Mateo wouldn't have looked so bad that last inning if he would have framed the ball the way he should have been... Luckily for him Bradley fucked up and missed 3rd...

Johjima has done well the 1st 4 games...but its shitty when your pitchers are WAY out of the strike zone...

Hernandez might still be...but he needs to step it up...WAY to many pitches...almost 100 in only 4 2/3 innings???Not gonna cut it...

Joe Blanton looked AWESOME tonite....hes gonna be much better than 12-12 this year....

Yeah I heard Hernandez had some control problems still... Which is probably expected seeing as how he's only 19. The A's are too patient for pitchers like that to pitch deep into the game.

Blanton didn't get his first win til JUNE last season...

Who would have thought Meche would win game 1 and Hernandez would lose game 2...? Not me...

Its funny...the thing about Felix is that he throws HARD...with CONTROL...thats why hes so dominant....but his velocity was down JUST a bit...and hes control on his off speeds werent exactly always there....but then again...he was out with shin splints the last 3 weeks...and only pitched in SIDE games...so he really aint been on a mound for 3 weeks....

Blanton has sped up his flow of pitching...and its obviously paid off....

You have to admit...Laoiza SUCKS now...his velocity is COMPLETELY gone(89 mph TOPS???) and his change up looks like dookie.....the M's were hittin off a T last night...

Just wait....Gil and Felix will switch roles in about a month....

I was surprised about the flow of the game... They weren't stepping out and calling time to try to take him out of his rhythm... I don't know if they did even once (I didn't see the whole game though so I'm not sure.)

Loaiza sucked last night and will probably have a couple more brutal outings, but I think he'll get a little better... He isn't ready for the season, I think the WBC threw him off... In the end he should be a decent 5th starter and I expect his velocity to get back to normal... He should be good for 200+ innings and an ERA around 3.5-4.5... Should be good enough to get the job done.

The hell was up with Macha lettin' Haren get rocked in the 3rd inning...It was like what? 8 consecutive hits in a row? Shoulda yanked him way sooner, but I guess it was a confidence thing...Despite the loss, Chavez had a helluva night.
