Like Bigbread said its all about the breeders. Tom Garners APBTs look like "game bred" with the exception of a few that have show characteristics.
@ Abyss, take your time homie when your looking for pups. See as many litters as possible and dont fall for the first one you see. Talk to the breeders about past breedings and if you can get into contacts with people who got pups from them in the past. Reputation is key. A lot of people say they got champion lines or purebred etc. but each dog has its own character and you would want one that best suites your lifestyle. A great breeder will show off their registry papers with pride. I ran into a lot of breeders in the bay/valley with photocopied papers straight out of books, others wit legit papers but the parents werent as its described on the title. If your interested i know a great breeder from my neighborhood http://www.geocities.com/blueprintkennels/
Ive seen some of her litters in the past and she's pretty much the best of the best.
Another thing is this the first time you owning a dog or have you had any other dogs in the past? If this is your first i suggest spending a day or two with anyone you know with APBTs. A puppy is like a kid, theres gonna be many sleepless nights ahead of you.

Naw...this will be my 3rd pitbull, but this will be the 1st one i dont get from the local neighborhoods and w/paperas. I've have plenty of other dogs in my lifetime though. Right now im looking @ all the kennels that belong to www.theeliteedge.com. I like blues. Most of them seem to be reputable from what i can tell through my research. Your right though most of those dogs did look like game dogs.. that's the line my last dog champagne came from. Im looking for that Razors Edge look this time....Thanx for all the info though...keep it comin'
