Confidence & Over confident are too different things. Yes, every rapper boast it, ON THEIR ALBUM! They don't walk around with a chip on their shoulder. And as an artist, you never drop an album and expect the world to bend over & kiss your ass. And when they don't, you throw an online temper tantrum & venturing way off topic disrespecting your fans.
I'm not saying mediocre, but please have yourself a slice of humble pie. All that, I'm the best, I'm the shit etc. kills your promotion (outside the music.)
In case you haven't noticed, the fans make the star Homie. The fans call it a Classic. You the best, this is your best album, nobody's fucking with you right now etc. Not the rapper. Let the music speak for itself. I mean shit! The album hasn't been out a week, so I honestly don't believe 5000 copies have been sold due to the album not dropping in time & the biggest thing of all... those of us who went out to copp it, couldn't find it.
Would you buy an album from an any artist who looked down on you for being a fan? Telling you to, "Shut the fuck up, fag!" When you give your opinion on his / her latest album?
The number one thing any artist in the business should learn is, constructive criticism.
Look through these threads and see how much hate mainstream artist get in here. Do you really think any of them mainstream artist give a shit?
Their music & album sales have spoken for them and it's clear to see the majority of people (fans) in the world call it how they see it and made that artist a star.
