If there's anyone interested in gettin some of that Talkbox sound on their record, then get at me or hit the number below. For those who are familiar, the Talkbox sound was made famous by Roger Troutman on such songs as "Computer Love". my folkz J.North is doing Talkbox for $100 a session, but will negotiate with u. contact him at 510-290-6247 (Jay), tell him u saw an Ad on Siccness.

You can also hear him doin talkbox on the new single from Lee Majors, called "Scrape It Out" featuring The Team. You can hear that single on the radio now.

There's also samples of his work at: www.soundclick.com/newrecords
The songs are: "Town Bizzness", "Talkbox Demo 1", & "Iz U Ready ?".

more are coming. check it out, and leave some feedback.

I've actually had J North do talk box on one of the tracks for my solo album and it came out hella clean. It's hard finding people that have the skillz to do talk box these dayz and when u do find someone they always try to charge an arm and a leg. I've had peeps quote talk box recordings at $600 and more but J North did a tighter one then them for only $100. Definately worth the money!

well True Talents neva said he paid $600, he was quoted at that from others. and the reason people charge so much, is because not everyone can do Talkbox. there's only certain people out who can perfect it, to the fullest.

my bizzad Yung i was just helpin out fellow starvin artists obviously if they want the job done properly they WILL holla at cha boi fa sho!

yeah ur right they are different. A vocoder is what Roger Troutman is playing in the California Love video at the party, and a talkbox is what he's playing in the mad max one in the helicopter. You can still get that fonky west coast sound out of both of em anyway..

Jayda check yo pms i wrote out a step by step for it.

here's vocoder sound:

The TALKBOX is a entirely different vocal effect entirely from the VOCODER. I've been playing it (talkbox) for 16 years now and I never get bored of playing it or the sound it gives off. Roger Troutman made it seem easy to play and use but that was from years of practicing with it... if you listen to some of his earlier tracks you can't understand what he's saying... for example listen to SUN track WANNA MAKE LOVE. Check out Roger in the early stages of perfecting his sound and listen to the difference 4 years later with MORE BOUNCE TO THE OUNCE. He improved a great deal... so practice is the key to sounding your best and having people understand your speech pattern with it.

a good use of the talkbox can be found in on some electro funk groups album ""she's in control", they're called chromeo.....the album sounds like its from 1980-1984...kinna goofey but the dude doing the talkbox created a talkbox association in the US but i forgot what it was called but here is their site if you wanna hear some old school sounding eletro funk
