anyone got the sidekick 2?

a couple of my boys got em and they are hella pusing me to get one, just wanted to know if they are worth it cause I know there were a lot of problems with the first ones breakin.

but right now I got sprint and I know I'll hate the coverage difference. I just thought I'd check and see if anyone thinks they are worth it before I decide.

right now I'm paying like 56.00 for every possible feature i can have on sprint and 1000 anytime minutes. My boys are paying like somewhere around 70.00 for 1000 minutes and the sidekick package.

i have T-Mobile and the first sidekick and i think it's pretty dope .. no complaints at all. i pay around $70 a month with T-Mobile have unlimtied text, unlimited internet and 3000 anytime minutes.

It doesn't have the best coverage in Frisco. My homies get them too, but each time I try to use one to log in to the siccness or somewhere it takes long as fuck to load.. Plus the battery life is wack. I'm going to wait for another option. Try looking at the Motorola A630. Be unique homie. Fuck what everybody else got.

it has AIM but just WAP internet....Unless u load on a 3rd party program....

When I had a Sidekick I never really used it for the internet tho...I'd still rather have the A630

The A630 is currently already out for T-Mobile....Cingular was SUPPOSED to have it MONTHS ago but they dropped the ball as always....Should be any day now hopefully

WAP is Wireless Access Protocol....Basically it IS the net but its not....U don't see like the full web pages...Mostly based on text. But alot of major sites have wap sites as well......with a 3rd party program for the phone tho it can view html

I got love for sprint too!!! they havent done me wrong at all. by for the best service i have had and I had pac bell, cingular, verizon, and ATT too.

but my question was if the AIM is like it is on the t-mobile (just like regular AIM) or is it ran through the WAP internet which is hella annoying to try and have a conversation on.

I love my Sidekick 2...when it's workin. It's a funky lil thang...but in full operational mode, it's tight as fuck. AIM, email, internet access, calendar, address book, camera...I DON'T use the phone feature. I use a seperate cell phone because the phone on that thing is most wack. I pay like 140 a month for cell and sidekick...but I have a huge plan on my cell phone...that alone is over 100 bucks.

I've had the sidekiccs for about 2 years now......the sidekicc2 has been the best out of them service and reception wise....they sent some recent upgrades to it for voice and data service , for the great demand and traffic from all the kids who recently got one for xmas, from seeing Snoop and Paris with one..... And its a great change in browser speed......just wait a month though . They about to ce pay as you go phones....so everybody will really have one....
