DO YOU OR ANYONE YOU KNOW WHO OWNS A NEW 360 WITH THE BETTER HEAT SINK, CRASHED YET WITH THE RED LIGHTS???JUST WONDERING IF THE NEW ONES REALLY ARE MORE RELIABLE

i have an elite and i get the red lights once but that was because i had it hooked up behind my tv and it just got to hot...

ok, after august 07 the xboxs (core,premium, elite) all use the falcon motherboard which has a smaller cooler chip that is less likely to over heat and creah (red rings of death). All those consoles are the ones with a HDMI port on them. If you go to a store look at the side of the box with whats in the console and itll list a hdmi port if it has one. Its pretty much any new one at a major store. They do run quiter and cooler then previous models. you are safe to buy it and if it does so happen to break, the odds are low it will now, its cover under warrenty for free for 3 years. so thats like a safety blanket, even tho it sucks not having your xbox for 2 weeks while its gone. And there are new holiday bundles where you get your xbox and 2 games (forza 2 and marvel ultimate alliance) in the box and those i believe have the hdmi port and the falcon motherboard.

yeah cuz my cousin let borow his 360(wich is mines now) and his 32" lcd samsung and i had no more room on my dresser besides behind the tv so thats where it went till i got the red lights and i havent gotten them since i moved the x box
