Machine shops arent the funnest place to work. Unless you like the thrill of almost losing fingers and not getting paid too much. At least thats how it was for me.

my man did the cnc classes learning the codes kicked his ass. In San diego the top employers are nassco and solar turbine. That's the only way u can get in the machinist union. The pay stArts out at about $14 an hour. Its too dangerous for that amount. After he finished the class he got a driving job making $23 an hour so f the Cnc he can see his kids grow up.

welders dont make alot of money compared to other positions.. the only welders who get paid good are the ones who go under water and weld bridges and other shit. I had a bunch of welders in one of my classes.

How much do the regular welders make? And are you talking TIG, MIG, and stick?
mostly mig and stick.. i didnt take any welding classes, they were just all in my electronics technology class talking about all this shit and new machines they got off craigslist for like 800 with sticks.

i remember it was hourly.. like 15 per hour starting then you top out at like 25-28 if you have the certificates and all that.
Oh, I guess we pay too much then, lol. Well actually, if that's for MIG, then I would say it's about the same. I guess TIG is where it's at, we have trouble finding good TIG welders.
