And have you forgotten his T.O. like tantrum on the field earlier this year? He was crying like a little baby.
Nah I haven't forgotten, but that was really the only outburst all year and he let it go quickly. He's not a team distraction and he hasn't done anything overly dramatic. That particular case actually helped his relationship with A. Smith rather than worsen it. Smith said he was pleased to have a reciver who was so passionate about getting the ball. He hasn't been a problem at all, at least not yet.

And the San Jose Merc said he's expected to play this Sunday against the Rams..

IMO Battle is our #1 reciever........... Bryant is good but i dont kno if he can be that number 1 receiver that we need.........
Antonio Bryant is the reason Battle is getting open folks.

And yeah a lot of Bryant's receptions get called back over some stupid shit. He's had 5 or 6 receptions of 40 yards or more called back because of holding or illegal blocks.

^ Yeah, teams have been rotating their coverage to keep the double team on Antonio.

That pass he caught in the red zone, that got called back was dope, it was like a jump ball, and Bryant ran up and snatched it out of the air. He's a sav.

I think Jeff's DUI was in the offseason so they didn't do shit.

But that would be gay as fuck if they suspended A. Bryant for this shit. I don't believe any player of any team should be punished by the NFL or their team for shit they do on their own time unless it is going to affect their on-field performance (ie steroids or any other type of enhancing drug). If they get in a fight, get a DUI, steal something or whatever they should only be punished by the law, not their organization.
the thing is these people are representitives of their brand, the NFL. they sign contracts stating that they won't engage in behavior detrimental to the league. they are held accountable by not only the law, but also the NFL as well as their team. he could get punished by all 3. but think if bryant was bigger and had endorsment deals, he could lose them too. look at how much attention & publicity carmelo was getting untill he caught the weed case.

That's funny...Bryant complains on the field...he's passionate about getting the ball. T.O. does it...and he's a whiny punk.

Anyways...my point is...Bryant has had problems everywhere he's been.

He hasn't even played a full year with you guys yet...and he's had an on the field incident (tantrum on the field)...and now an off the field incident (DUI).

For just about everyone else...those would be considered problems.

The difference is Owens doesn't let it go. He takes it to the sidelines and never stops bitching. Bryant dropped it immediately.

You're trying to make the 'on-field incident' look worse than it was. He threw a fit for a few seconds and let it go. He wasn't on the sidelines yelling at coaches and talking shit about his QB. It was a short tantrum and it ended there. And the DUI is not affecting anyone but him. I know nobody on the team is gonna be destracted on Sunday because Antonio Bryant got a DUI.

Not as big as you're trying to make it seem.

My point is he has only helped SF, not hurt it. Owens on the other hand hurts his team and himself. That's my point.

On third down Antonio Bryant is double-teamed, which is what helps Battle get open. Battle is not good enough to draw that type of coverage. Without a real threat on the other end Arnaz Battle does nothing. Frank Gore also helps Battle get open because they have to account for him, especially now since he's ripping Ds apart. Their focus is not on Battle, which significantly helps him get open. Not to mention he's never working on the defense's top defensive back.. Mainly because of Antonio Bryant's presence.
