Because it was good comedy. And I think it exposed the fact that white people have more tolerance for that shit than people believe. I think it helped as well that he didn't just clown white people.

Even so, there is media out there that does not even attempt a balance and it still is accepted by mainstream media.

o, i totally agree...also, he didnt just make fun of "white" people, or things tied to their skin color...he just made fun of shit that people do....

Don't get me wrong...In NO way was it compared to slavery and the like, but when many Italian immigrants (for example) came to this country there were signs hanging in store windows saying "Immigrants Need Not Apply".

We can sit all day and blame people but truth be told, it's up to an INDIVIDUAL to make something of themselves these days. Wrong has been committed to Blacks, Native Americans, Mexicans etc. but the scapegoat needs to quit....Plenty of people have made something of themselves despite obstacles and didn't use excuses as to why they weren't successful. And that goes to people of ALL races.
