E-40 is slipping, but is still maintaining his seat on the charts this week at No. 106. To date, My Ghetto Report Card has tallied in at 265,036, with 9,476 representing the week-in total.

At this rate he will go Gold in another 25-30 weeks. Quite disappointing to say the least.

This is a good lesson on how singles, videos and major Television appearances help sell albums. Once that U and Dat video is in heavy rotation, we should compare the weekly sales figures to see how much difference it makes having something constantly on Television.

its mainly about good music, not video play. good music gets more video play and radio play. there have been lots of videos and songs in the clubs that still flop. if its good music it will sell.

When we start comparing artists sales out here to other artists outside the bay....then we'll know that "THE BAY IS BACK".........as long as we're comparing 40 to artists that have sold 10,000 in a year and a half, THE BAY AINT BACK!!!

NOT TRUE!!!! Most good music is looked over at record labels for bubblegum shit that will sell. MOST EXECUTIVES AT RECORD LABELS ONLY CARE ABOUT SALES....NOTHING ABOUT GOOD MUSIC!!!!!!

well that shit that goes platinum, jay-z, nas, ludacris, etc. have million dollar studios, producers, masters and mixers, high quality microphones, and unlimited resources, so the sound quality on their cds alone are good music, and if the rapper can make a catchy hook and half ass raps it will sound better then anything coming out the bay lately.

its harder to go platinum these days right?

I remember in the 90s going plat or double plat was a big deal, and then after that mainstream fools were expected to go double plat. and then once burning got big sales are now expected to be lower than they were in the 90's. Its a trip how the market changes.

i dont ever see their video's but I know they are on tv a lot like on the direct tv concerts, jay leno and shit like that. they had 2 songs that were anthems for high school girls and that more then likely is the reason they went platinum, not cus of the video. and you need a song to have a video, not have a video then make a song.

^^^^^yup. the just released their 3rd video ft snoop dogg. the video is hot. These females are sexy as hell. You can watch the video on yahoomusic.com.

40's next single is hot too! But he should have dropped the single earlier because its already getting played out. From what I hear its been getting a lot of play around the nation esp. in the clubs.

Off topic: T-Pain is only 20 years old.
