I voted against the recall and for Bustamante. The majority of Northern Cali voted against the recall, but they are saying something like 72% of Southern Cali voted for it. That's a lot of people. I don't think this is gonna be very good for California at all.

what is good for california? another democrat that worked directly under the same democrat we trying to get rid of? lol...if its time for a change then it makes sense to actually elect a different person...not the same person...which bustamante and davis pretty much are...

one more thought: having a recall is ridiculous in the first place. if you fucking elect someone into office they should ride out their entire term...shouldnt be like "oh well its only been like a year...but we dont like this guy lets try for a new one!" it aint supposed to work like that. they have specified terms for a reason.

Sad Day In Politics in my opinion...For the simple fact that people voting FOR Arnold have the same mindset as the subject in your post, "WOW COOL!!! The TERMINATOR CAN BE OUR GOVERNOR!!!"...Fuckin ridiculous...Do u guys REALIZE that his advisor is Pete Wilson? The fuckin devil himself??? YES I voted and I voted NO on the recall...I say fuck it, you vote a guy in and you're STUCK with him. That's like saying our votes didn't count.

I don't wanna get all political, but I have a feeling IF and WHEN we have a "governator" we're all gonna be like we are when u wake up the next morning next to a fat broad..."What in the HELL did I DO that for???"

oh and p.s. I also agree that if you're 18+ and you did NOT vote then you have NO REASON TO BITCH!!!

BTW. this has been a 5 year stint by davis. and why shouldnt the people be able to recall who they elected. if they got to choose him, why shouldnt they be able to get rid of him?? I the people think that the state will be better of (which this proved they did) then they should get the choice to make the change.

as ridiculous as arnold as governor is, he cant and wont do any worse than davis. it will be ultimatley a good thing for california. mark my words.

i voted AGAINST the recall but FOR Arnold.

why?

First of all, the recall is a fuckin ridicolous idea. The guy has been in office less then 11 months and didnt break any laws. He by NO MEANS is a good governer but he hasnt done anything in my opinion to be removed from power. This recall was started by a bunch of rich right wing conservatives from Orange county and the suburbs of L.A. who couldnt win a fuckin election if they tried! Do you guys remember seeing the little bitch who started this crying like a five year old when he realized he didnt have a chance at governer?! Jesus!

This whole election makes a mockery of the last 80 years of California politics. California was home to the progressive movement back in the day and created things like the Recall to get rid of crooks, not bad politicians. We made our choice 11 months ago to go for Davis and we should be forced to stick to it. Who knows how many fuckin recalls we will have in the future now!

Not only that, but someone enlighten me on how we got a deficit in the first place? I dont have the numbers, but Im guessing that a great deal of the budget went towards energy contracts and energy prices; prices that California got RIPPED off on major by companies from other states, like Texas. Last time I checked, disputes between two states are handled at the FEDERAL level, and the head of the Federal level is the President. He didnt do shit and he new damn well we were getting fucked over. So whos really to blame?

But if someone has to be elected, I figure why not Arnold? The best Democrat is Bustamante and he is from the same camp as Davis! The best republican candidate arguably is McClintok, and his big scheme is getting rid of the car tax. Watching Arnold in the debate reminded me of somehing: he is not a politician. And that could be a good thing. Most politicians are shit heads. So by not being a politician, hes not being a shit head, and he's more honest. I identify more with him than any other politician. He wants to make a change, he wants to improve our life, and hes a moderate.

And if it doesnt work out, you mine as well have California go up in flames under the Terminator than some white washed dull fat fuck like Bustamonte.

I don't know, most of you guys seem to be against Arnie for govenor. I don't live in Cali or even the U.S for that matter but I think it is a good thing.

Arnie came to America as an emmigrant, had nothing... worked damn hard and look where he is now... I think this sort of work ethic leaks over into everything you do and this can't be a bad thing for cali...

He spent 10 million dollars of his own money on the campaign, when you are prepared to put your own money behind your campaign it shows he is dedicated to achieving big things...

If anything this election has received worldwide coverage, and while all these people have been in Cali reporting they have been spending big dollars. Heaps of people love Arnie, especially Japan and you are bound to see a lot more overseas people in Cali spending all their money and the tourism dollars that the state will bring in with Arnie as governor will definitely help the local economy...

I think all in all its not a bad thing. I don't know what policies he has or how he plans to implement them but I am sure the government will bring in extra dollars, always a good thing, now how will he spend these extra dollars?...
