dam sorry to hear that. how old is the dog? is up to date on its shots? I just found out my dog has stage 5 lymphoma. shes doesnt have too much time left. but shes fighting like a champ. dana is right though. having animals is a big financial comment. i spent $1200 just to find out that my dog is gonna die and there aint much i can do about it but spoil her to her last breath... Parvo can be anywhere in the dirt, concrete, shoes other dogs. literally everywhere. your gonna have to bleach everywhere around your crib to reduce the chances another dog dont get it... The best thing for the dog is to give it up. so the vet can help it. if its not too late...sorry man...
I'm sorry to hear about your pet. I just put my rottie down, he had lymphoma. We discovered it when he was stage 3- I spoiled him, fed him and took him cruising everyday. He loved to ride in the back of my truck, eventually everything the specialist told me would happen did. He eventually stopped eating, would vomit and could hardly walk. I finally had to take him in. Perhaps the hardest thing I have ever done....in the end it was unfair to keep him suffering just to satisfy myself. I'm thankful for the extra time I had with him....I hope you enjoy every last minute with your girl

Call your local humane society, they'll have better advice than the siccness open forum. They also have low cost alternatives

Sorry about your rottie.. How long did your dog live from when you found out about your dogs lymphoma? I took my girl in to the vet in late august cuz she stopped eating, and lost 11 lbs. looking like skin and bones and after xrays and an ultrasound they told me stage 5 lymphoma. they gave me prednisone and some special soft dog food that she barley ate a lick of. then she did start to eat chicken, rice and gravy.. and time went on and almost five weeks later shes eating normal dry dog food and back to her normal weight. so i was curious how long did your dog live from when you found out. by the way the vet sounded like my girl didnt have more than two weeks left in her..

Go to Walgreens and buy one of those oral syringes so that you can force down whatever liquids you are giving your dog. Same shit happened to my pit. While all this was going on, she also got an allergic reaction to top it off and her whole body was blistered up... It was a mess but she got through it.

cali last summer...

It was probably about 6-8 weeks..he was on prednisone as well. At first he was still active and eating up a storm. But that slowly faded, he lost tons of Wieght and all his muscle. Ill post up pics later. Who knows, if I didn't put him down he may have still been fighting. But the pain was obvious and I couldn't put him through that anymore

EDIT-didn't realize I could attach pics from my iPhone...that's Bruno

im stressed enough dana, i didnt need that post from you

but ok thanks anyway
What kind of response did you expect from the Siccness Den Mother? She's just being realistic.

I hope your dog pulls through though! I just got my first dog a couple months ago and know I would be crushed if he had to go through something like your situation.

If you give your dog colloidal silver he will turn blue. But, if you want to risk it they sell it at some vitamin/supplement stores.
