Since when is beating a 4 year old with a fucking tree branch acceptable in any house hold, Black or White??? My son is 3 and a half and the worse he can do as far as being bad warrants a smack on the butt to where he looks at me and thinks "damn, Pop's aint playing!!" Like someone else said in this thread, if you have to resort to taking a tree branch and lashing your 4 year old, you have failed as a parent...

It's basically the south down here in Oklahoma and virtually every black person I know was hit with a switch as a kid. I don't know how early that started though. And either way, whether that is the style of parenting or not, there is still a point where it is excessive.

Lol nice troll

AP is a good dude. Some may wonder if he was too harsh or not, doesn't matter he's a strict father certainly not child abuse. The problem is this is coming out at the absolute worst possible time. The reactionary nfl will probably suspend him for multiple games cuz of the rice heat
if these photos are real, im no genius but i'd say this warrants child abuse of a 4 year old. You don't have to be a parent to know doing that to a 4 year old is wrong, it's just common sense...

F that, if those pics are real, that is excessive. Everyone has heard the "this is gonna hurt me more than it hurts you" line from parents to kids. As a father, I hate spanking my kids and I rarely do but if I feel they need a spanking they definitely get one. But seeing those pics of that kid if they are real is gut-wrenching to me personally man. I adore and cherish my kids and no kid should be whipped like that.

There are a ton of nfl players coming out in his defense saying they got the same kind of punishment with a switch when they were young as well so obviously I think there is a cultural and regional difference of what is acceptable / normal, which is why I brought up butcher and myself being from Seattle.

Again though I had not previously read anything about the kids balls being whipped, if that part is true than yeah obviously AP crossed the line and I would have a big problem with that. As far as using a switch I don't see how that's any different than kids taking a licking by a belt, which was pretty common practice accross America 20 years ago or so, now days you can get locked up for that shit.

I think it's an age thing because it's just shocking to me personally he whipped a 4 year old like that, and it also kinda looked like that kid got hit A LOT and looked like it was on bare skin or something. None of those players were whipped by giant NFL runningbacks at 4 years old either I'm guessing.

I forgot what player on twitter said he got switches at 3,4,5 years old, said he loves his parents etc. Again, not saying he didn't cross the line, just saying different cultures, different mentalities etc

i remember E40 talking about getting hit with racing car tracks. He seemed to be speaking on it as a bad time in his life and not of the norm. I dont know how old he was at the time but i'm assuming it fucked him enough to speak on it and lay it down for everyone to hear. It may be a cultural thing but that doesn't make it right. If a 4 year old black kid gets out of line and gets beat with an object to the point where it penetrates the skin versus a white kid...does it matter? I understand the cultural differences but there's no excuse for that shit. In my opinion it's some deep seeded abuse that has been passed down through the generations. The shit happens all across the board. I grew up with White, Black, Mexican and East Indian, Samoan and have seen abuse from damn near every one of their dads. It's not just a down South thing...

Well there's a lot of factors that go into it. If You're a good father that believes in physical forms of punishment and you explain to the child what he did wrong etc, and at the same time show the kid a ton of love, show positive reinforcement, provide them with everything they could possibly need physically, mentally, emotionally, etc., that can be good parenting. If you beat ur kids because your having a bad day and treat them like shit, obviously that's bad parenting.

the kid was wrong, turned into a snitch...I think he deserves another ass whooping...
