I remember last year everyone on this board hated lil jon and now that hes blowing 40 up everyone likes him, funny style shit if you ask me.

Bet everyone would start showing love to 50 cent too if San Quinn for example or another big bay name signed to g-unit and went multi platinum.

I've always respected Jon...I think it was dope how he captured the essence of 'Hyphy' on 40's album and was able to make it so that it sounds almost nothing like Crunk...because obviously him spearheading the whole Crunk movement, there are going to be comparisons drawn.

first off, people mainly respectin lil jon I would think because he had the smarts to come and work with e40, e40 got his own fanbase and style he didnt need lil jon to teach him a damn thing..

and that 50 cent comment is retarded, I don't think people around here would be on 50's jock for signin quinn, i think they'd be mad at quinn tho for goin that route..they would understand it cus money talks..but they wouldn't be pleased..

i bump lil jon.. i think hes a good producer, especially with all the south crunk shit...

but as afar as 50 go, i aint gonna lie, i bought his first album. i thought it was pretty tight. but everything after that is barbage and i can care less about 50.

they ain't talkin bout the dudes music.....50 is 50..he got his formula that works for him and also made him millions....but dude is a hellova good business dude....so if he came and broke quinn off and promoted the shit out of him the bay would have to have some type of respect for the dude.....don't think everybody else ain't lookin at what 40's gunna do sales wise. $$$$$$ on a area that has artists comin out the bushes n shit.....everyone gunna be ready to snatch n team up with a yay Artist.....

i like 40 and his new album but still hate lil jon,nothing has changed for me. he still sucks and makes annoying songs,that has changed since 40's release. same will go if quinn signed with g-unit. they would still make soft-ass gangsta music

co-sign..... ive always respected lil jon as a producer..... this project blew me away thou.... he has shown that he is a tru ass producer cuz he stepped in a region that he aint from... therefor he had a limited time to understand the material and then hit the boards.... he's got respect IMO

Man I ain't gonna front I was one of those dudes that hated on Lil' Jon before this. I really didn't like crunk music and was annoyed by Lil' Jon's yelling and most of his beats sounded the same using the same sounds in all of them. Through this 40 situation I gained a new respect for dude that I should have had all along. It's like in real life there's people you see around all the time and fuckin hate them and think they're fags but then you meet them and get to be around them for a little while and realize "this dude ain't so bad."

The 50 comment was a general one, I'm just saying how people hate on these mainstream guys but now that one put on a bay cat they are getting love.

There are people who think Jay-z is garbage (they are dead wrong) but if he put lets say Messy marv on Def Jam and they were on a track together, I bet everyone would be saying that shit is Ill and give jigga hella props.
