I woke up after sleeping in and I remember getting online to check out the sports updates. I got on yahoo messenger and one of my friends that moved to Virginia was like did you see what's on tv? I remember just being in a major state of WTF. It was unreal.

I had just got home from a night of gambling and was about to go to sleep. I kept the TV on because there was unconfirmed info. that a plane hit the WTC (when I first turned it on it only said there was a fire.) I watched the second one hit live and then woke up my family. I'm origanlly from NYC and have family that lives/works in Manhattan. It took my Uncle almost 9 hours to get home to New Rochelle which is usually about 45-60 minutes with heavy traffic. My Aunt was tripping because no one could get a hold of him and his office is like about 3 blocks from where the WTC were.

All theories of what did/didn't happen, who's to blame, etc,etc aside...R.I.P. to those who lost their lives today five years ago.

It was surreal. i was living in brooklyn at that time so it was all direct. i was in manhattan when it happend, not something i wanna go thru agian. total anarchy. part of me thought the world was gonna end. grown men runnin like the worlds gonna end. - it was some shit u'd see in movies.

I was just starting 11th grade i believe, i couldnt sleep the night before, and i pretty much saw it live, i went into school, and on the ride there i told my pops to pull me , and he did, i went home and just was trippin out over the developing stories, rip to all the innocent ppl who lost their lives that day

I remember I was sleeping on a matress in my room coz my bed was coming, and I heard all this commotion on TV so I knew somethin happend. Mym mum yelled out 'OH THEY BOMBED THE WHITE HOUSE JOHN HOWARD WAS NEXT DOOR' Hohn Howard our Prime Minister was there on the day for a confrence. Then I got up and saw all the shit on TV. I had exams for school the next day and I didn't study shit, I just sat in front of the TV all day.

Oh by the way, Ian Thorpe who is an Australia record holder for a number of events in swimming was ON TOP of the WTC about an hour before the planes hit, and he went back down to his hotel to get a camera for photos, and as he was in the car on his way back to climb up again the first plane hit.

I was playing Strike Force online when a mate messaged us in game alerting that a plane flew into the first WTC then I ran to my TV and saw the second plane hit live I was like WTF & I woke up everyone in the house and watched it for like 9 hours straight to see if any other attacks where happening
