this was probably around 6:50am (san diego/PACIFIC time...meaning it was 9:50am in nyc, which is EASTERN time). i remember i didnt really get it. cant remember if they were already using the word terrorists to describe what happened but i honestly couldnt grasp that actual terrorists had taken a plane and deliberately flew them into some big ass buildings. i didnt even really know shit about the world trade center at the time (pretty sure i was in 10th grade) and it took a while for me to even grasp what a big deal it actually was. guess i was just a retard
Even in NY at the time people just kind of assumed it was some sort of accident. I was at work and heard about "A plane" crashing into one of the towers but everyone thought it was just a small ass plane running out of gas or some shit. Nobody not immediately near a tv or the site really knew what they were describing until the 2nd plane hit. It was very much confusion, but after the 2nd plane it was kind of obvious it was a terrorist attack.
It's not the first time they hit the towers, though it had been like 10 years but people put shit together pretty quick. It was also really hard to get any information because those towers controlled a lot, if not most of the phones, beepers, radio, tv, etc at the time in one way or another so it was hard to call people to get facts, or even listen to a radio station. I didn't get to see what the fuck really happened until about 4:00 that afternoon because nobody had cable at work.
It was a fuckin' weird day, to say the least.
