2) The virus in the U.S. is not the same exact strain in Mexico that has killed all those people..like i said in my post, the swine virus is expected to have been in circulating in Mexico for months, and thus has mutated and become more deadly..as time progresses, the U.S. cases WILL become fatal..

A virus doesn't only mutate to become more deadly. For example, many of the new strains of HIV that we have become aware of are much less deadly than the original strain.

In fact, it is in the best interest of a virus to not kill off all its hosts, so that many strains will actually find an equilibrium where they are in balance between killing and living in a symbiotic relationship with their host.

That is not to say virus don't become more deadly, but it can work both ways and your posts makes it seem like they ONLY become more deadly.

true..but the consensus is that this particular strain will become more virulent here in the U.S., which helps explain the more serious cases in Mexico..

The 1918 pandemic is estimated to have affected up to one billion people: half the world's population at the time. that would mean it killed somewhere between 2-5% of people infected. Its not like everyone who got it died. its just that so many people got it, that the death numbers were inflated.

EXACTLY! They use big numbers to keep us worried. What they don't tell you is the percentage. "Yea, this shit went around before...killed 40 Million people worldwide". HOLY SHIT! is probably the first response. THEN you sit back and think, GOD DAMN...40 MILLION PEOPLE isn't even half of the United States...not even CLOSE to half of the United States, let alone the entire world. 2-5% is SMALL! BUT, they keep the fear circulating by leaving that part out.

I think it's funny that every time something is going on in the political arena, a disease pops up...or something bad happens somewhere else that keeps our focus off of politics until the shit has died down.
