(11-28) 21:00 PST OAKLAND -- Oakland police are searching for suspects in the shooting of eight victims, including a child, in West Oakland Monday evening.
The shooting was reported at 6:08 p.m. in the 700 block of Willow Street. When officers arrived at the scene, the victims had already been transported to local hospitals, said Officer J. Moore. He said all were in stable condition and their injuries were not considered life-threatening.
One of the victims is reportedly a 1-year old child, according to Johnna Watson, public information officer for the Oakland Police Department. The motive for the shooting and suspect information was unknown Monday night.
The shooting occurred at or near a parking lot on Willow Street, Moore said. Police are searching for multiple shooters.
