49ers Future.. Playoffs vs High draft pick?

There are a lot of opinions going on in here on what 49ers should do in the upcoming games. It's time to get a Poll on opinions.

Should the 9ers tank the season and go for the high draft pick? Or keep fighting and win the division to go to the playoffs?

people make it seem like its the niners descision to make. We have to win two games in a row and then hope the seaturds take an L. do you guys really think this squad can win two in a row the way weve been playing. And if we wanted to tank the season we shouldve done it right after we beat the raidturds when we were still 1-5.

I don't like our chances in the playoffs, even at home, without Frank Gore. They won't tank it, but then again they might not need to with the way we've been playing.


Edit:

If I had a choice, I'm going to say win out, and steal that spot in the playoffs while the division is as weak as it is. We will play a really tough team, but it will be at home, in front of a crowd that hasn't seen its football team play in the post season for nearly a decade.

I ALWAYS root for my team to win. draft picks are so hit and miss, not too mention higher draft pick costs more. Win Win Win. not that Denver is going to be winning much any time soon

I think also to consider is do u really want to be known as the worst team to ever make the playoffs? If they make the playoffs also there would a possibility of keeping Alex Smith around another year and we know noone wants that. Might not even make the playoffs even if yall win out so it is what it is but I say higher draft pick is definitely better

playoffs, I can see the 9ers picking #8-#12 as the standings are now just because of strength of schedule and remaining schedule if they miss the playoffs. No good QBs will be left, besides maybe Mallett and Stanzi. Can't get either of the top DB prospects either.

And winning or losing is a culture.. If your organization is okay with losing, a high draft pick doesn't fix that..

you mean record wise right?? also i rather be known for at least making the playoffs instead of being known as the team that hasn't made the playoffs in over a decade which is whats going to happen.

if there has been a worse team to make the playoffs... tell me what team it was...

if the went 8-8... then they'd be one of the worst... but it would be easier to argue they weren't the worst because teams have made it at 8-8

but they can't go 8-8... it's impossible... so if they make the playoffs... they'll be 7-9... and the worst team in playoff history
