i'd say from 92-98 i had a great collection of cassette's and mix cassettes that had pretty much all the bay rap. i remember giving them to a youngsta around 98 when i finally got a cd player in the ride
lol used to go n buy cassettes in the bargain bin cuz they was cheaper than the blank ones, and tape a piece of cardboard over the little hole on top so we could record other shit over em for our mixtapes lol
I used to hate when the radio would eat up my cassettes...My favorite one tho was brotha lynchs loaded and west coast trippin..basically the whole AWOL and no limit catalog..And when Sam goody had one little rack for the rap section..shit hit rasputins now you got isles of rap lol..
I'm done buying CDs for the most part. I have around 1250 and seeing I'm moving pretty soon I'm going to whittle that down to about 200-300 of my favorite and rare ones. I want to get rid of them while places still buy used CDs and get some money for them.
I've taken up to buying/collecting vinyl in the last few years and that's what I'm going to be grabbing from now on minus the occasional cd. I've still been buying some tapes (got around 300 of them) because some artists I listen to only put out their stuff on tape or vinyl DIY style.
Everything else, I download from the net for free.
