I know what he meant. I'm just waiting for him to give me a logical response as to why he would come at me like that when I've yet to insult him in this thread.
Even though you could argue that I'm coming at you, I am telling you that I am not. Even though the joke implies you engage in homosexual acts, I am only coming at your cheerleader. That is all.

His fans didn't mispronounce anything? LMAO! So because Pac spelled it a certain way (that way obviously being wrong), they get a get out of jail free card? No. If his fans were as educated as you imply they would pronounce the name correctly REGARDLESS of how Pac spelled it, and they certainly would NOT make the dubious claim that Machiavelli FAKED his own death. I'll go out on a limb and say most fans NEVER even heard of Machiavelli until pac said it -- thus validating my claim that they are not the sharpest knives in the drawers.
Pac spelled it and pronounced it differently, so why would his fans pronounce it any different? It's not a get out of jail free, because they are referring to Pac's "alter ego", not the Italian author.

My claim:
Pac probably has more educated fans than most rappers, except those in your nerd rap/underground circles.
Your claim:
The majority of his fans read at a fourth grade level.
You can't prove yours and neither can I, so don't get too serious about any of these "claims".

2pac didn't just misspell the word, he repeatidly mispronounced the word on his own records. Under these circumstances I don't think any of his fans were in error if they too mispronounced it just as he did.

pac called himself makaveli and intentionally spelled it the way he phonetically pronounced it. dissing fans for pronouncing shit the way he wanted it pronounced doesn't make sense.

Why does he have to be MY cheerleader? Yes, he and I have similar views, but we also disagree in many areas. This man has his own mind, and he has held his own on the board so far.

Pac spelled it and pronounced it differently, so why would his fans pronounce it any different?
If they are intelligent, they would pronounce the name correctly regardless of how pac spelled it or pronounced it. However, they DON'T do this. Also, I'm not saying they should pronounce or spell PACS alias a different way. What I'm saying is these people spell and mispronounce when referring to the REAL Machiavelli.(where is the intelligence in that?)

You can't prove yours and neither can I, so don't get too serious about any of these "claims".
Considering who the majority of his fans are I would say I have a strong case.

I'm not talking about for HIS character. I'm talking about when referring to the REAL/HISTORICAL/ACTUAL Machiavelli. I don't give a damn if pac pronounced it as JESUS, the point is the fans are mispronouncing it when referring to the REAL person. When referring to the real person use the CORRECT spelling and pronounciation. When referring to pac do whatever you want.

Again, what I'm saying is these people spell and mispronounce when referring to the REAL Machiavelli. Why you would ask the question you did after I already made it clear is beyond me.

AND IN UR OPINION WHO IS THE MAJORITY OF HIS FANS???

No you just don't understand what has been typed, and I made myself PERFECTLY clear before you even asked your question. This was stated BEFORE you asked your question:

Also, I'm not saying they should pronounce or spell PACS alias a different way. What I'm saying is these people spell and mispronounce when referring to the REAL Machiavelli.(where is the intelligence in that?)
I typed this BEFORE you replied, AND I put it in bold so it can stand out. I made it VERY CLEAR that I am referring to the way they refer to the REAL Machiavelli.

DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY PEOPLE MAKE UP THOSE AGE GROUPS WORLDWIDE????? I JUST DONT SEE HOW YOU COULD MAKE STATEMENTS LIKE THAT IN REFERENCE TO PAC FANS WHEN YOU DONT KNOW HOW MANY FANS HE HAS AND IF THE MAJORITY ARE INTELLIGENT OR DING DONGS LIKE THE ONES YOU MAKE THEM OUT TO BE..
The majority of his sales most likely came from america, and if they didn't, the demographics are still applicable (do you believe he sold 6 million records in china or japan?) Factor in the drop out rate and level of education of each group and you'll come to the conclusion that most of his fans were dummies. In addition, most of his fans probably never heard of Machiavelli before he even mentioned it, and coupled with the fact that they actually believe Machiavelli FAKED his own death, it moves us one step closer to his fans being dummies.

THATS WHAT IM NOT GETTING???I KNOW HE STATED THAT IT WAS IN REFERENCE TO THE REAL MACHIAVELLI BUT HOW COULD YOU KNOW HOW MANY FANS PRONOUNCE THAT RIGHT OR WRONG AND MAKE IT SEEM LIKE THEY MAJORITY ARE DUMMIES????
As to how I could know? That is very easy. Are you a pac fan?

@Defy you asked:

so are people who say "lewd-uh-kris" dumber than those who pronounce his name "lewd-ih-kris"?
When dealing with the REAL word is that how it is pronounced or spelled? Is the word spelled Ludacris? Would you be dinged for spelling ludicrous as ludacris on a test? YES YOU WOULD. Since this is obviously true, why are you attempting to justify the butchering of a proper noun (MACHIAVELLI ?)

The whole GOM firum knows whose cheerleader he is, and it has nothing to do with you two sharing views or not. Didn't he even put "I'm not Heresy's Disciple" under his username? At any rate, I meant no insult or disrespect to you, so let's drop it.

The bolded area is what I was unsure of and it's clear. So you're saying you've been in enough situations where people you know to be 2Pac fans are talking about The Prince and refer to the author as Makaveli? You must be an anthropologist of sorts. Please post some data.

Considering who the majority of his fans are I would say I have a strong case.
You have only established some age groups of who you think his fans are (which I more or less agree with), but you have posted nothing to make any kind of a case for your outrageous claim.

To me, the truth is that you and I have no data whatsoever to support our claims, we only have personal experiences to draw from. For me, people that I have encountered around 25 or older, whether college educated or not, have been knowledgeable enough with no complaints. Again, to me, there is alot of the younger generation that mostly cling to his thug image and couldn't tell you a damn thing about The Prince, except they think Pac faked his own death because it's author.

So, I don't think you got your fourth grade reading claim from just out of nowhere, but it's highly exaggerated to the point where it's bullshit.

A guy walks into a library:

Guy: Yeah do you have some books on Makavelli?

Librarian: Can you repeat that?

Guy: Makavelli, do you have books on Makavelli?

Librarian: I've never heard of that name sir, how do you spell it?

Guy: M-A-K-A-V-E-L-L-I

Librarian: Ok let's see now. We have "Tupacs greatest hits", "The rise and Fall of Death Row", "Why The West Coast Fell Off".

Guy: No! I'm not lookin for Tupac. Tupac is the rapper Makavelli, but I'm lookin for the makavelli who faked his own death.

Librarian:I'm sorry I can't help you, but I don't see anything else for
Makavelli. Are you sure you have it spelled right.

Guy: Yeah.

Heresy: Excuse me, I overheard your convo, and you'll probably have a better time finding it if you searched for MACHIAVELLI...and you can even take away an L and something might pop up.

Librarian: Thank you...and by the way I've been checking you out, heres my # call me.

Heresy: Thanks, I'll hit you up later.

Stockton is a logical human being and free thinker. He is not my "cheerleader", and if others believe that they need to seek help. However, if stockton WAS my cheerleader, I'd quickly dismantle him because I ride alone, but if I ACCEPTED cheerleaders (and he was my cheerleader), it would be best if you all followed in his foot steps. LONG LIVE HERESY!

Concerts, libraries, book stores, schools, BART (the train), Airports, etc. Hit the gazillion and one tupac websites and you'll see what I'm talking about.

You have only established some age groups of who you think his fans are (which I more or less agree with), but you have posted nothing to make any kind of a case for your outrageous claim.
It is not an outrageous claim, and I don't need to post anything since you already agree with it. However, if you know anything about demographics and record sales (thats how I started in the music biz) than you would know something about the age bracket of those who purchase music, where they are from, and their financial status (when you study in great detail.) However, do a google on soundscan and see if they have the old pac numbers for free. After that start your own research.

To me, the truth is that you and I have no data whatsoever to support our claims, we only have personal experiences to draw from.
The demographics of his fans speak volumes. Look at the drop out rate of each group listed and tell me what you find. However, personal experience does play a role, but that does not remove the fact that the majority of his fans are dummies.

For me, people that I have encountered around 25 or older, whether college educated or not, have been knowledgeable enough with no complaints.
OK.

Again, to me, there is alot of the younger generation that mostly cling to his thug image and couldn't tell you a damn thing about The Prince, except they think Pac faked his own death because it's author.
Which helps prove my point.

So, I don't think you got your fourth grade reading claim from just out of nowhere, but it's highly exaggerated to the point where it's bullshit.
According to a recent US government report, The State of Literacy in America, released by the National Institute for Literacy (NIL), there has been a significant growth in illiteracy in America. Over 90 million US adults, nearly one out of two, are functionally illiterate or near illiterate, without the minimum skills required in a modern society
Out of 191 million adults in the US, as many as 44 million cannot read a newspaper or fill out a job application. Another 50 million more cannot read or comprehend above the eighth grade level.
http://www.wsws.org/news/1998/oct1998/ill-o14.shtml

Fallacy, or deductive reasoning? Many americans are illiterate. Many pac fans are american. Many pac fans are illiterate.
