Good list. And ur right, even the top names in mainstream rap like the same shit & that's why we've been getting the same ole' shit over & over again in music & videos.

As far as subject matter goes no one is as real as Chuck D. His voice could damn near incite riots back in the day. This choice was based on late 80's early 90's PE stuff, i think the last thing I bought from him was his solo CD back in 95-96. No one could fuck with him back in the day though...

Ry... Chuck D...? I'm a huge Public Enemy fan... I still buy their albums... 'He Got Game'... 'There's A Poison Going On'... Got 'em both... Even have a copy of their album with Paris... So as a longtime supporter (been down since 'Yo Bum Rush The Show') I have to ask you to reconsider... Chuck's an icon, a legend, and to some even a hero, but one of the top 5...? Nope... That's pretty weak. He lost his mind and has put out bullshit for a while, but seriously it's ICE CUBE! I think Common should have said Ice Cube - hahahaha.

Good to see Scarface get props like that, but only from the southern artists - that's weak.

E-40 shouldn't have made the list, but considering people said DMX and Mac-10 not to mention other's that shouldn't have been anywhere near this list, 40 belongs there more than others.
