Make that 9 game win streak!

This would be our luck though...We go on a great winning streak only to have the 2 teams ahead of us go on winning streaks too. The Tigers have won 5 in a row and 9 out of their last 10 and the Indians have won 8 in a row.

Life of a Royals fan.

Everybody's seen that play that Prince got thrown out at home to end the game right? That's like the play of the year. And Alex Gordon is the first LF to have 3 straight seasons of at least 15 outfield assists since at least 1954.

all rumors are now pointing to the Royals landing Carlos Beltran for 3 years and $48 mil. if they get him that would be sick, and a great signing for them to compete next year. its a lot of money but nice to see them breaking out the checkbook for a big time player, even though hes older. the Jason Vargas signing isnt terrible either.

the latest:

FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal reports that Carlos Beltran is "not close" to a deal with anyone.
Many have reported that the Royals have become the favorites after offering Beltran a three-year, $48 million deal, but Rosenthal said that offer was extended earlier this offseason. Kansas City still might be the favorites to land him, but Beltran will take additional free agent visits.

FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal reports that the Royals have not made Carlos Beltran a three-year, $48 million offer.
ESPN's Buster Olney reported earlier this week that Beltran has a three-year, $48 million offer in hand, and the indications had been that it was from the Royals. Rosenthal, though, says it didn't come from Kansas City, as ownership "likely would need to intervene" before GM Dayton Moore would be allowed to extend such an offer. Beltran met with Royals officials earlier this week but will take additional free agent visits.
