A 14-year-old Californian boy has been charged with murder over the death of a four-year-old neighbour, whose body was found in a clothes dryer at the teen's home.

Fresno County District Attorney Elizabeth Egan said the 14-year-old central Californian boy was charged as an adult on Tuesday.

Egan said the teen was also facing charges of sodomy, kidnapping and murder of a witness to prevent testimony.

He is due to be arraigned on Wednesday morning. Prosecutors say if eventually convicted, he could be sentenced to life in prison.

Fresno County Sheriff Margaret Mims said the body of four-year-old Alex Christopher Mercado was found on Saturday in the 14-year-old's family home in Mendota.

Earlier on Tuesday, Fresno County authorities said Alex was drowned before being stuffed in the dryer.

He drowend him and then thrue him in a dryer to dry him up and get rid of the evidence. That's fucked up kid o was 4years old that ain't right

Damn... that's some really fucked up shit... Parents have to start taking some responsibility in their kids lives, or we're gonna see more and more of this... RIP to that little kid...

saw this in the news this morning

the suspect's freidn was on there sayin he thinks there is more to the story because his friend would never do anything like that

then they flash to the victims mother and she is sayin that she knew all along that that kid was evil lol

its a fucked up situation...

I don't give a fuck is the fucker is 14! He knew what the fuck he was doin'. If he were mentally impaired/handicapped, I "might" have some sympathy for him, but he probably isn't, SO FUCK HIM! I don't wanna hear this "he's just a kid" bullshit. FUCK ALL THAT! His 14 y/o ass shoulda been in school tryin' to learn somethin'!

WHERE THE FUCK WERE THE PARENTS? Thats the real question.

He's being charged with SODOMY, among other things. So, because he's a kid, they should just let him off the hook? How bout they give the kid a warning, tell him not to do it again, and call it a day?:confused:
