How are African Americans whose families left Africa within the past few centuries different than those people who left within the past few millenia? Again, how far back in history am I allowed to embrace?
 C'mon, man, seriously bro, give me a legitimate question.. I can't stoop to this level and try and rebuild identity concepts with you from the ground up, all that I can say then is just do you... If you want to spread Africa's love all over the world, be my guest..

^I don't think anyone's buying that because it was a very sensitive question that undermined all of the past accomplishments based on socio-political events in the present, as if they have a correlation. It just wasn't a good question and seems like it sought to throw rain on the parade and obscure African achievement by say, comparing the kings of Kush with Toby the slave.. Why does it matter, isn't that a different topic? It was just insensitive and condescending, and to even have to ask that question is to cast doubt on the potential of Africans and question their contributions to the world.

What I am pointing out is the hypocrisy, you guys are trying to speak in evolutionary terms and apply it to sociology and recent geographic identity, which is illogical. No African-American would ever legitimately be able to embrace Greece and Rome as part of their legacy. Humans left Africa and people adapted to other environments and developed their own respective cultures. Those that remained in Africa did their own things, it isn't complicated, you draw the line by geographic ancestry.. Europeans, for example were not in Africa at the time of these accomplishments and/or they had nothing to do with them, but the ancestors of people of African descent were there (In Africa) at the time. That's why Europeans embrace European culture, because in that time period the majority of the people on that continent were direct ancestors of European Americans. These are all social terms, I'm not concerned with the "Out Of Africa" model of evolution at this point, the argument is redundant and aims to be politically correct, but ultimately fails because it doesn't take into account many opposing aspects to that philosophy. Maybe you need to get your shit straight and stop trying to save face by using spin language to obscure the premise.. If you believe in evolution, why not embrace the accomplishments of the first single celled organism? Since everybody wants to go back so far, we can get as ridiculous and politically correct as you want, only thing you're doing is stripping away meaning and creating social disorder and chaos. Why would you want to embrace other people's direct ancestors and/or cultural forbears anyways(though nothing is wrong with admiration) at the expense of their own perceived identity, which usually has mass community consensus? We all need separate identities as we all have different divergent histories, we have to have some type of perspective and historical/social convention..

Some of that shit on the list is pure comedy and its kinda hard for me to take the whole thing seriously, but I did learn some stuff (assuming it is true...). Like the facts about "bling culture"? Come on who gives a fuck how much gold they mined. There is a shit load of gold in the ground in Africa and they mined it. Big deal. Incans, Aztecs, and Mayans had a lot of gold too. And those facts about how big certain cities were in the 14th century....that postdates Athens and Rome by quite a long time, I don't see why that is on the list. Last but not least, the facts about giraffe gift giving. I don't think I even need to comment on those. I think the lesson we can learn from this list is that people should do their own research and read books instead of being spoonfed information, especially by biased individuals.

1. The human race is of African origin. The oldest known skeletal remains of anatomically modern humans (or homo sapiens) were excavated at sites in East Africa. Human remains were discovered at Omo in Ethiopia that were dated at 195,000 years old, the oldest known in the world.

I am of the human race and by saying this above comment you are insisting i am of african decent.

I don't think you have any idea what you're talking about and you seem bitter as all hell, this troll type rhetoric effects no one, it only reflects your petty ability to focus on inane aspects of the post. Who gives a fuck about Athens, this was a chronology about Africa, of course the 14th century was after Athens, but maybe your feeble mind missed the part where the list was in Chronological order, starting with Homo-Sapiens, then on to Egypt/Nubia, up to Askum and Mali. I have no idea why you'd doubt any of this information, the fact that you aren't sure shows your very ignorance and general skepticism of anything African achieved. Some dimwit with a drive by critique is worthless to me, and the fact that you nit pick about the article mentioning Gold is simply hilarious, these are pure filler arguments and you need to go to sleep. If you can't debate the accuracy of the facts presented I suggest you stay in your bucket you silly crab.

valleypain, if you published a book about africa, you would have about 4 pages at the end of the book with references citing such archaologists and etc.

so your telling me you have SOLID EVIDENCE that a race of giants existed, before the first recorded humans on earth?

where?
and how come all the history books and historical websites havent been changed with this amazing discovery? we need to get on that, like now man. your making history here.
i stated the name of the book numerous times....ATLANTIS BLUEPRINT....the book has a 16 page BIBLIOGRAPHY (that thing you tried to refer to that cites thier research sources.... smart guy) at the end of it......

and i never said they were a race of giants....im jus talkin about how the bible referred to them.....they may or may not been physically larger than the rest of humans but the theory suggests that they were jus greater overall and had a presence about them that made them "godlike" and considered "giants".....

and many more people of science than you realize are actually into this theory but its kept unde the rug as much as possible.....satelite pictures have revealed somethin exists inside the ice of antartica......many have petitioned for expiditions to antartica to try and dig for more evidence but have been denied government funding....when they try to fund it themself they are denied government access.....the US owns antartica....why???? there supposedly isnt shit there but ice......there are many reasons why they should keep this a secret.....religion and the catholic church in particular is the main one.......but then it jus turns into craccpot "conspiracy" to everyone......cuz the church wouldnt lie they dont have shit to gain right?????

i guess africans thousands of years ago were so smart and could do great things but a bunch a white guys that RUN THE WORLD today arent clever enough to lie to hide the truth from us......

but why should i sit here and write out the whole book for you when you dont wanna listen???? im not the author of this book and im not the creator of this theory so quit actin like im jus makin this shit up.......go read it or shut up about it.....theres hundreds of people with more credible baccgrounds than any of us who are proving this possiblilty so unless you can prove them wrong i wouldnt be so quicc to judge......

Actually I've read it all and have been familiar with it all before I posted it. I'm careful, I don't post inaccuracies or make inadequate claims based on old legends like you. Of course I know that Plato claims to have learned about Atlantis from Egyptian priests, but no record of this has ever been found in Egypt, which makes your fictitious claims that more dubious. And what's the deal about criticizing me for pasting an article/overview, did you really assume that I'd write all of this myself? Haha, please, I probably could but it would of been too time consuming, this was convenient. As you've stated yourself, you said the legend came from Homer and not Plato, you must of googled the right answer. Maybe you need to get your facts right and details straight first before you criticize me about some shit that you can't debunk because you neither have the acquired knowledge or innate intelligence to do so. Also I don't read books written by unqualified crack pots, try again..

i had that wrong cuz i actually read this book a few years ago and i got them old greek mafuccaz mixed up.....my bad for quoting my memory instead of lookin shit up as i go along......your new at this african movement of yours i been on the atlantis theory for years so i might not have all my info at the front of my memory as opposed to you who is barely soakin up your shit as of recent......i studied african and mayan cultures way before you and its what lead me to the atlantis theory cuz i wanted to know more and where these civilizations got thier shit from.....you WANT TO BELEIVE everything started in africa cuz your blacc......if you was chinese youd try to prove evidence of china being the place.....cuz YOU WANT to feel special......i seek the truth not self rightousness or justification of my skin color being worth somethin.......you have psychological issues that prevent you from seeing the truth therefore you shall remain blind to ALL OF THE FACTS until you get help.......

for the rest of you who want to know more and arent close minded or ignorant peep my thread here:

I'm not debating their accuracy dumbass I am just saying that a lot of it is irrelevant bullshit that doesn't educate anyone about anything worthwhile, hence why I'm wondering WHY we should know this...just because you said so?
