    Orgy anyone?

Vaper Transmission was cool. Not really my style of rock though. Not bad at all, but not something I could see myself listening to a lot. I just noticed that they were the band who did the Blue Monday cover.

    Favrorite singers

I think this turned more into favorite frontman/woman then singer thread. Because as much as I really like Talking Heads, like Cobain, Byrnes isn't that great of "singer" in the traditional sense. Amazing frontman and I love his whole voice and vibe. But like actually singing wise, I think...

    Favrorite singers

I was going to say Kurt Cobain, but truth be told he wasn't a great singer, in the traditional sense that is. What was dope about Kurt was how his voice sounded and the emotion that could be felt in it. So add him to mine as well then. Bjork too.

I was listening to some more of Dance Gavin Dance yesterday, it's not that bad, growing on me a little. Dude does sound like MJ and look like Budnick though, that is hella funny.

    Favrorite singers

Alexis On Fire If you check them out make sure to check out either the Self Titled or Watch Out! Their newest one, Crisis, is pretty good but no where near as good as their first two.

    Favrorite singers

Dallas Green is the singer for Alexisonfire. There is a singer and screamer both in the band. He also has a solo album and I think a EP or two under the name City and Colour, which is more acoustic type stuff where as Alexisonfire is more post-hardcore. He also used to be the lead singer for...

    Favrorite singers

Actual singing wise... Layne Staley Chris Cornell (pre-Audioslave) Morrissey Dallas Green Anthony Green Roland Orzabal (only Tears for Fears stuff) *Edit* Maynard James Keenan (Tool & A Perfect Circle...duh) Grizzly Bear (the whole band) I'm blanking right now, I'm sure there is a lot more.

Quicksand - one of the most under-rated bands of the mid 1990's.

Go listen to Panic At the Disco and dye your hair black!

    Orgy anyone?

I have to give Orgy a listen to. A girl I used to kick it with a lot back in HS was into them but I really only listened to rap and some grunge back then so I never gave them a chance. Where should I start Jesse?

    JOHN MAYER - CONTINUUM

I don't know, I really don't like his music at all. I mean it's not bad really, just something about it I don't like. It's weird too though because some of my friends who don't like anything other than rap even like John Mayer but I can't get into him. Kind of like Jack Johnson, music isn't...

Under-rated albums -- What are some albums you think deserve more recognition?

My thread about Quiksand made me want to know what some of you think are highly under-rated albums. Either mainstream or not, what are some albums you think deserved more recognition then it got? I'll start with... Helmet - Meantime Although the album did go gold in the US I still think...

Anyone download the albums? Or did I waste my time stealing the links? lol

Quicksand - one of the most under-rated bands of the mid 1990's.

So I was listening to Slip and Manic Compression today and I came to the conclusion that these guys should get a lot more recognition then they do. I know they are highly influencial in the whole post-hardcore scene but outside of that you never really heard about them. Fuck I mean Slip came...

Can I get some Avant-Garde/Experimental/Noise Rock recommendations?

I have everything Mr. Bungle has put out, actually I have more or less everything that Mike Patton has ever been apart of. And yes that album is the shit. I already got TSOAF, both albums, thanks though RJ.

Can I get some Avant-Garde/Experimental/Noise Rock recommendations?

So I have been listening to a lot of stuff that falls into those three catagories above lately. Bands like Hella, Animal Collective, Lightning Bolt, Mr. Bungle, shit like that. So can anyone make some recomendations? It doesn't have to necessarily be rock, some Avant Garde Jazz (IE; John...
