Decent stuff, it's just that I've heard 100's of bands that sound just like them. Thanks for the links though.

    Live shows

Yeah Fear Before... is fucking great live. I saw them with Norma Jean and Between the Buried and Me around a year ago now. While Fear Before... was great I really don't think anyone fucks with BTBAM live show. You need to see them live RJ, they will blow your fucking mind. I know you are...

top 5 bands/artists this very second

What did you think of Colors Smurf? Personally I think it might be their best album. Like you said it's not as destructive sounding as The Silent Songs and I love the longer songs on it. For me it prob. goes Colors The Silent Circus Alaska Self Titled Covers album (I forget the name)...

They kicked out Budnick? Why is that? DGD is decent in doses, I can't fucking stand Emarosa though. That whole "scene let's kinda sound like Underoath but a little different" genre got played out pretty quick IMO. So many bands try to sound like Alexisonfire, Underoath or Norma Jean that...

    upon further review...

BTBAM are easily one of the best bands out. When you go buy Alaska pick up their new one Colors as well. I'm 100% positive you will love it. IMO it's a lot better then Alaska and right up there if not better then The Silent Circus (their 2nd album.)

can anyone recommend good baile funk or axé music?

Thanks for the info. I'll have to check some of that out. I'll start with Diplo seeing I already like a lot of his stuff.

    The Mars Volta...

Yeah I saw them with SOAD too and it was about 50/50. But you have to remember it's two totally different types of rock with those two bands and prob. 90% of the people where there for SOAD. When I saw them open for A Perfect Circle the crowd loved them.

can anyone recommend good baile funk or axé music?

Wha? I don't know what baile funk or axé music is but I know Diplo is dope. I'll have to check that out. Same Diplo that works with M.I.A. right CB?

    The Mars Volta...

Yeah, ATDI and The Mars Volta aren't a fair comparison. They are really nothing alike other then Cedric and Omar being it both. I just felt like stating that lol. That's the thing about not liking Amputechture I don't get. I love Post-Rock and some songs in that genre are like 20-30 minutes...

    The Mars Volta...

De-Loused in the Comatorium is a classic and I listen to it all the time. Frances the Mute is a really solid album too but I feel they were starting to slip a little with it. I really didn't care for Amputechture much at all. I guess they are working on a new one called The Bedlam in Goliath...
