New Sigur Ros album (kind of)

Actually oddly enough it's in english. I haven't made it through all the bonus content but the documentary is all english from what I can remember. My friend who was in the Navy said Iceland is one of the countries where like 90% of the population also speaks decent to fluent english. I...

Local bands you like that might otherwise go unnoticed.

Straight up punk not really. Lot's of hardcore, art punk, some kinda punk but don't have a name for it, type of bands out here. Then of course a lot of indie type stuff too. I'll check out Zebrahead. I'm always down to try out new bands.

My ex's little brother loves that band so I heard everything up until their 2005 and on albums seeing that's when we broke up lol. Outside of Rage Against the Machine I'm not into the whole rap/rock thing at all. It just doesn't sound right to me.

Local bands you like that might otherwise go unnoticed.

Well maybe everything is a little too broad lol. I don't like Country or techno/house/etc. What I ment was in the rock genre I listen to more or less everything in all the "sub genres." The hell is g-punk? Gangsta punk? lol I don't care for Hed Pe at all, different strokes for different...

I listen to everything more or less. Those are just the best unheard of local bands IMO. Seattle doesn't really have a big metal scene so none of those were listed.

New Sigur Ros album (kind of)

Guess I got lucky then. Plus mine was a couple dollars cheaper and no s/h of course seeing I bought it in store. Whatever, no complaints on my side lol. It's dope too because it's like a book of tour photos with two DVDs, not just like a DVD case. *edit* I guess I got the limited editon one...

New Sigur Ros album (kind of)

Weird, then again maybe Easy Street imported it? But then it prob would have been a lot more expensive so I don't know. Then again, like you said, wikipedia.

New Sigur Ros album (kind of)

I don't know where you got your info but it's already out bro. I bought it at Easy Street in Queen Anne for $25. If they are going to show it in theaters as well I'll check it out though. It would be great to see on the big screen.

Something different...Bat for Lashes-Fur and Gold

I thought that chick was Lilly Allen for a second there. That video was a trip. Music was pretty cool too, I'm going to download the album and give it a listen. Thanks.

New Sigur Ros album (kind of)

Best concert/music documentary EVER. Even better then Stop Making Sense IMO even though it's quite abit different (I know, bold statement.) The visuals and the music go together perfectly on the documentary and the imagery/music together is truely beautiful. Also the concert footage is...

    Foxy Shazam

Not feeling it. And that has to be the gayest name ever, that album cover doesn't help much either lol.

Not a fan but RIP nonetheless. lol @ the spelling of "Cum on Feel the Noize." You would think it was a rap song spelt like that lol.

Local bands you like that might otherwise go unnoticed.

Yeah I checked them out again awhile back after you posted their link and I liked them a lot more then upon the first listen. I always try to give bands 2,3,4 listens before writing them off because a lot of what I like is based on my mood at the time. I'm one of the only people I know who can...

Local bands you like that might otherwise go unnoticed.

So the locations of the members of this board are pretty diverse so I was wondering what are some smaller local bands you guys like that you think others might like checking out. Just give a link to a myspace or band website or whatever so we can check them out. Jaguar Love - Ex members of...

    Live shows

No I didn't make either show, had to work. MTB plays here all the fucking time though so that's no biggie but I was kind of bummed about missing Circa Survive. MTB will have another show somewhere around here in the next 4-8 weeks I can more or less guarantee it. I think I have seen them like...

    A Day to Remember *Links*

Yeah I'll give them another spin in a few to let it soak again. I always give bands a few tries because sometimes it has to do with your mood whether you are feeling them or not at the time and I've been listening to a lot of harder stuff lately.
