Natural Snow Buildings - The Dance of the Moon and the Sun...
I'm bored as hell so I'm about to up (well grab a bunch of links of the net lol) a lot of stuff I don't think most of you have heard...well maybe minus Smurf lol.
Seeing Carnage and RJ were talking about their favorite Aussie bands, here is one that is certainly in my top 3.
Grey Daturas -...
HUGE difference, like almost polar opposites. I don't feel like typing it out so from wiki...
Sludge:
Grindcore:
In otherwords. Sludge - usually slow paced and heavy. Grind - usually very fast paced and loud.
Here are two bands to compare:
Sludge - Giant (click here)
Grind -...
Hey Smurf I was checking out Poo On A Stik's myspace page and it looks like they (he, whatever) went sludge for the new album "Poonogomy." Right now it's only rough cuts up but they are decent I'd say. What's your thoughts on this? I loved Greatest Shits so this a big change from one...
Anyone? There has to be more bands then that is listed here and that I know about already.
This thread was inspired by how much Giant's album "Song" and Electric Wizard's album "Dopethrone" fit my cold, cloudy, rainy bus ride to work today in Seattle. This kind of music was taylor made for...
I broke down and bought a six month one (I think, whatever is the one under a year is the one I got.) I was going to buy a year one when it was up in a few months but I'll wait to see if this was just a rumor or what's really going on first. I still got like 3 months left or so.
Cannibis Corpse might not be Sludge but that band cracks me up.
None of those were really Sludge but there were a few bands I never heard of that I will check out seeing you named them anyways. Thanks.
Bumptastic!
I need more sludge/stoner recommendations...
Or did we just about cover everyone worth listening to?
Also thanks for the recommendations Little Daz. I liked like 90% of those bands you listed even though I already knew about a few of them.
The Mercury Project is dope, I've always liked their stuff.
If you want some good relaxing start of day/end of day music check out The Appleseed Cast's album called Low Level Owl Vol. 1.
It should be pretty easy to find but if you can't I'll upload it when I get home from work tonight.
Good idea. We kind of have that going with RJ's thread up above but if this one gets going good I'll sticky.
Of course I have stuff to add to it but I'm tired as hell from work right now and don't feel like thinking about bands lol.
I'll make sure to check out the two albums you posted...
This band is in no way "emo" so I don't know where that came from. What are some "emo" bands that use console references? Just curious because when you say "emo" I know you mean the crap that is called "emo" now of days but I've still never seen or heard of a band with console references in...
