Yep I agree with all of that. "The hood" occupies a much higher percentage of Midwest cities than it does West Coast (and also why cities in the Midwest have much much higher black populations than cities on the West Coast).

Yes I would agree with that that it's consistently top 10 nationally in crime and with East St. Louis it also has the roughest suburb in America hands down.

KC does have a higher crime rate than LA.
