As far as the p4p debate and boxing analysts---On one hand theres no denying that critics have racial bias to SOME degree, even if only subconsciously, you can usually put together their history of fight picks and rankings and whatever their ethnicity is and see which type of fighter they tend to favor-- Prejudice is our nature.

All That shit is irrelevant though because 1. Boxing Analysts have to back up their opinions with facts and logic to be taken seriously. People who argue for Loma point out the names on his resume. The case for Crawford is his unified champ status.

and 2. Whatever is said about a fighter will not effect the outcome of the fight. If you look at racist ass Jack London writing about Jack Johnson back in the day, none of that shit he wrote could save James Jeffries from getting beat to a pulp.

2017 was a great fuckin year for boxing---the best fighting the best....or an mma fighter...or an Australian....

I don't post on other boxing forums for the same reasons you mentioned. But I saw a topic---Who had the biggest fall from Grace: Kovalev, Chocolatito, or Rigondeaux ? what you think?
Chocolatito hands down. He was legit #1 or #2 p4p and he got dropped on a rematch. If anything he should have known what to do to beat Rungvisai.

Kovalev is still legit to me. He fought Ward very well the first time and on the rematch neaither fighter showed me anything that impressed me. If anything it made Ward look bad and kind of proved Kovalev right in terms of USA biasness. I mean, he should have got a 10 count but you don't stop the fight like that.

And Rigo just fucked up. He should have accepted the terms back when Loma was at 126 or he should have just moved up to 126 and not cared about fighting Loma. 126 is still legit.

I know what you mean and I agree to an extent. But I'm talking about the new school reporting. Especially since people are doing a lot of youtubing now a days. Like ESNEWS kisses a shitload of ass now its insane. And both Dontaesboxingnation and Boxingego are hella quick to use race as a way to win an argument or persuade people that they are right in everything they say. Boxingego actually blocked me from one of his chats because I told him I agreed with ODH that Spence Jr would be a bigger star if he had a promoter. If we disagree that's fine, but he responded by saying who is black in the GBP roster? He's right but what does that have to do with Spence being promoted. If ODH wants to sign him then where is the racism come into play? And then he starts posting up a shitload of videos saying Loma is scared of Rigo, and now doesn't give credit to Loma for his win. He literally brings up Loma on every video even if the topic is not about him. Its just a damn shame that this is happening.

With all that out my chest, this is MY p4p list:

1) Crawford
2) Lomachenko
3) Thurman
4) Gilberto Ramirez (and no its not because he's Mexican)
5) Joshua

The way I do a p4p list is if they are a champ in their division, and if anyone 1 weight class smaller or 1 weight class bigger can defeat them, and how they win their fights.

What has Crawford done to deserve #1? Reminds me of Nonito Donaires fighter of the year award that a lot of people didn't like because while he went 4-0 that year, they were all solid opposition but nothing special. Crawford to me has beat solid opposition but nothing special. His best win is who? Viktor Postol, who was a good win for the division but hasn't shown he's anything special and Gamboa back in 2014, who not only was way too small for the division and Crawford, but fell the fuck off and essentially is a shit fighter now and lost to a guy named Robinson Castellanos with a 23-12 record. Call me when he fights and beats Mikey Garcia. Hell, even a faded Pacquiao passing of the torch type of fight would be more valuable then some of his recent wins.

I'll take Lomachenko who justed fucked up Rigondeux, one of the best pure boxing talents I've ever seen in my life and not only fucked him up but made him no mas. In fact, his last FOUR opponents he forced them to no mas, including Nicholas Walters who was a wrecking machine going into the fight. And sure, while Rigondeaux was from the division below, it's a 4 pound weight difference, and no man at 126 makes Rigondeaux no mas, no one but Loma.

Plus, just look at Loma inside the ring. He's doing shit that other elite guys simply cannot do. He's got more angles than a protractor. Crawford is solid all around but nothing I see him do inside the ring screams P4P #1, nothing.

What's up, fool? Anyways...

Like I said previous, I will not argue if anyone has Loma at #1 or #2. but I do have Crawford at #1 because he has more fights under his belt, he is undefeated, has accomplished more in boxing than anyone in the current state of boxing, and is till moving up for tougher fights in a division where I still don't see anyone defeating him. Crawford would have stayed at 140 to make the Garcia fight happen but Garcia kept making shitty excuses for not fighting Crawford. Now Crawford leaves and Garcia is going for I think the 140 WBA belt when he has the diamond WBC belt after he defeated Broner. Garcia clearly ducked Crawford, ducked Linares, and doesn't want to stay at 135 like that because he will get schooled by Loma as well. So to say Crawford should have fought Mikey is a bad argument. If anything, Loma needs to do his best to unify 130 and cough up some money. Crawford did.

Yeah Loma looked too disgusting against Rigo for me not to put him up there. Dude took the first match up in pro boxing that included 2x golds between the 2 and made it look extremely easy.

I can't knock Crawford on who he's fought though. Embarrassing Postol and wiping his ass with Indongo (a guy who was all risk and no reward and in no way did Crawford have to fight) is not something to sneeze at. No doubt that Crawford wants better fights, can't knock him for who gets in the ring against.

What Loma did to Rigo was crazy! The fact that he went in there and beat him at his own game was something else. I do agree with Dan Rafael and he would give a Pretty Boy Floyd hell at 130.

But what Crawford has done is also amazing. He has knocked out 2 gold medalists in his career and both were Cuban too. With him, he doesn't need a game plan. They need a game plan for him.

Loma is getting there but he needs to at least unify all belts and destroy Tank. Once he does that then he will get legit #1 p4p status. But it still will be hard cuz Bud will KO Horn early and he will retire Manny.

Some good end of the year 2017 boxing summary here...

pt. 1

pt. 2

He's got a British bias I believe but puts together some good videos that you might've passed up because of the clickbait screenshot /thumbnail . He's got Crawford at #1.

Garcia as you know had promotional issues. My argument isn't that Crawford should have fought Garcia by now, I'm saying call me when he does and if he beats him then we can talk about p4p #1. I'm saying Crawford lacks a GREAT win like that on his resume. He has some good wins, he has some very, very solid wins. Like naner pointed out he has a couple underrated wins as well. But Loma has beat ELITE fighters, again, he just dominated one of the greatest pure boxers I've ever seen. Crawford lacks a big win like that which IMO is why Loma deserves p4p king status right now not Crawford.

This isn't really critism of Crawford, he's done his job by beating everyone they've put in front of him. I just see a more skilled fighter in Loma who just wiped fucked up Rigondeax, words I never thought I'd say. I always thought if/when Rigondeaux got beat it would either be because he got old or because someone landed a lucky KO blow out of nowhere. I didn't think I'd see anyone OUTCLASS him and that'd exactly what loma did - he proved he's on another level.

Danny Garcia getting some more light work in Brandon Rios. I don’t understand thinking you beat Thurman and then in your next fight, fighting a dude who’s not in the top ten.
I actually don't see it like that. I see it as Rios is getting a shot at proving himself and finally getting a fight he deserves. Garcia finally lost a fight, and needs a KO in order to win some fans back. Garcia is gonna have to take risks and Rios is not the one to be doing that with. But Rios has to win by KO as well based on the fact that Garcia has a reputation of winning fights via a gift from the judges. This is actually a pretty good matchup for both fighters.

Actually, Spence should have fought Cotto. He gained nothing by fighting a shot out Peterson. He could have fought Cotto as a ppv and earned a lil more money and become a bigger star. But fuck it Haymon is in his ear and butt

in my mind pacquiao is a thing of the past. A legend no doubt, but his time is out as far as I’m concerned.

I doubt cotto wanted Spence for his final bout.

When you compare d. Garcia and Spence’s Peterson fights, its clear that Spence is not to be fucked with if you’re trying to stay undefeated. The truth he is.

Also I didn’t see angel at the press conference???? Wonder if the loss to pony tail ruined the old man

Hell yeah he wanted Spence. it didn't matter if he won or loss to Cotto, he wanted to go out with a bang! the more of a bang the more money he would have got.

And as far as Garcia vs Peterson, that was Garcia looking like shit cuz he was cherry picking too much. Spence is not picking so he's staying sharp.
