Thinks that BJS wants to sit on his title and get paid to fight bums. He is a ducker period. He ran from GGG and now is running from Rosado, Stevens, and Monroe.
- Canelo vs. BJS in December is not necessarily dead, but this will certainly change the terms of negotiations.
BJS is a pussy, straight up. Clearly Saunders' plan is to avoid any type of challenge and get a Canelo fight which I'm sure in his mind he actually has a chance of winning, whereas with Golovkin, Saunders literally said Golovkin would knock out both himself and Eubank on the same night lol. Imagine if anyone else said something like that? And then he talks shit to fighters on Twitter after rejecting fight offers. He obviously wouldn't fight Golovkin, he wouldn't fight Lemeuix or Stevens (who are now going to fight each other which is a dope fight), he wouldn't fight Jacobs and he wouldn't even fight Rosado who has been knocked out so many times the past few years I've lost count. What an absolute joke he's become after getting a narrow decision over Eubank.

He's a clown and the WBO should strip him soon since their rules state a title holder must defend the title within 9 months. The last time he fought was in December against Andy Lee, so that probably means he's going to fight some no name bum real soon because that title is the only thing keeping him relevant.

gamboa fighting cotto?
Didn't hear anything till just now, Googled and I guess it's being explored. Really gotta scratch your head at Gamboa and his team's decisions. Ever since he left Top Rank his career has been shit. It was clear 135 pounds was too big for him against Crawford and here they are negotiating with Cotto who likely isn't going to go below 150 pounds (he wouldn't for Juan Manual Marquez so he won't for Gamboa). I understand it's a big fight for him and if he wants to "cash out" sure, by all means sign the fight and get stopped again by a bigger man, but if he wants to continue his career he should focus on 130 pounds.

Jermall Charlo's team puts rumors to rest
by fat Dan

No, junior middleweight world titleholder Jermall Charlo is not injured and, no, he does not plan to vacate his belt in order to avoid a mandatory defense against Julian “J Rock” Williams.

Rumors suggesting those two scenarios have swirled but they are not true, Ronnie Shields, Charlo’s trainer, told ESPN.com.

What is true is that Charlo had a LASIK procedure on his eyes to improve his vision in July and received a 60-day medical exception from the IBF for his mandatory defense.

Understandably, the Charlo camp did not advertise that he had the procedure, which delayed a bout initially penciled in for early October. But the IBF’s Lindsey Tucker told ESPN.com that shortly after he was notified that the sides had a deal for the fight and he canceled the purse bid, contracts were not filed within the 15-day window and then Charlo asked for the medical delay via a letter from promoter Tom Brown.

Tucker said Charlo was granted the exception on July 8 and it expires on Sept. 8, after which contracts for the fight are once again due within 15 days.

Shields said the 26-year-old Charlo (24-0, 18 KOs) and twin brother Jermell Charlo, who also holds a junior middleweight world title, have worn contact lenses since they were kids. He said Jermell had the same procedure on his eyes a few years ago and that it dramatically improved his vision, but Jermall did not have it done until last month.

“It wasn’t serious. I don’t know where all these rumors about an injury are coming from or that he wouldn’t fight Williams,” Shields said. “It’s not true.”

Shields said that before Jermall’s title defense against former titleholder Austin Trout on May 21 in Las Vegas, that the Nevada commission declined to accept his eye exam results from his doctor in Houston and required him to fly to Las Vegas two weeks before the fight to be examined by its doctor. Shields said he went with Charlo for the exam, which cost them a day of training during a critical time of the camp.

“We did it. We made the trip and after we did it Jermall said he would [have the procedure] and get it over with,” Shields said.

Charlo was licensed to fight Trout and won a competitive decision to retain his title for the second time but “the doctor told him in Nevada he didn’t necessarily need the surgery but that if he fought somewhere else [with stricter rules on uncorrected vision] he might not have passed the exam, so he did what his brother did and had it done,” Shields said.

“But Jermall is not injured and he has never said he wouldn’t defend against Williams. It’s a tough fight but we live for tough fights. It’s a fight Jermall has wanted. We’re looking forward to it. Jermall loves to fight and wants to prove he’s the best out there. He will fight whoever they put in front of him.”

Shields said Charlo is training and should be cleared for full contact in about two weeks.

The fight against Williams (22-0-1, 14 KOs), 26, of Philadelphia, is likely to take place sometime in November and probably will be televised by Showtime.

Billy Joe Saunders calling out GGG again, this time it might be for real since Tyson Fury is telling him to fight him:

JOHN3:16. ✔ T @tyson _Fury
It will take a Gypsy to beat this unbeatable GGG, that Gypsy is B @bjs aunders_ Let's Bash another Kazak Both K2 aswell, #Gypsybrother

GGG can either take this fight in the UK or the WBA will order Jacobs vs Golovkin. The latter is probably the better fight but Saunders has that last belt so I'd like to see Saunders in December, Jacobs early next year.

Danny Jacobs gets props if he fights Golovkin.

These are the attitudes we need in boxing:

Jacobs thinks he's the best---so he fights the best.

Golovkin waiting for a megafight (with Nelo)---yet still fights the other champs in the meantime.
Yeah man I'll give Jacobs props if it goes down, he was saying a lot of things a couple weeks ago that made me believe it wasn't going to happen, like saying he wants more than "two Peter Quillins" but "less than $10 million dollars" meaning he wanted anywhere between $3.5 million and $9 million, which seemed like he was pricing himself out. There's no way HBO would pay $8-$9 million for their purse for a regular HBO event and I assumed HBO probably wouldn't want another PPV this year after Ward vs Kovalev PPV. So this is very promising and sounds like they have figured out the purse or at least are close to it.

How will the bidding for the fight work?
