The best fighter in the world put in work and certainly was not a cherry picker to get to the top. Look at Mayweathers resume at 135. Mayweather fought the top guys. You could argue over the last few years he's taken a more calculated approach, some of that has to do with who's available though.

Mayweather has ducked and cherry picked for most of his career...like I said, when the supposed best one the world does business this way, can't blame young cats following the same way. It's the state of boxing right now, and mayweather is the godfather of cherry picking and ducking guys until they are old.

Most of his career?? Like who? He fought all the top guys Hernandez, Corrales, Castillo, Judah, Oscar, Hatton etc all those guys were champs. Mosley was a bit old but he just won a belt by destroying Margarito. The last couple years there just hasn't been much talent at 147 so Ortiz, Guerrero guys like that aren't anything special. Canelo obviously wasn't old and that's the fight the fans wanted. His career was nothing like Santa Cruz, like I said Mayweather put in work to get to the top. Leo is fighting sparring partners and dishwashers.
All of a sudden you forgot mayweathers past? Like I said, let Leo make his money can't blame him for the state of boxing today. I point at mayweather because he is p4p number one...has he fought the best his whole career? Or has he ducked people or waited till he had an advantage over them? Look at the 80's fighters, they all fought eachother. Those days are over, and it has nothing to do with Leo. He follows the examples set by the best right now.

And you can't talk about who was or is available for Floyd cuz he used to fight with HBO, then switched to Showtime. He also never did business with TR. Now he doesn't want to do business with TR, GBP, and HBO even if they are the ones working harder than his camp to give him his biggest payday. I think for the past 5+ years, he's only had two or three legit contenders, Judah, Hatton, and Cotto. Everyone else was BS! It's all Haymon's work and that's what Lamberto is saying. Can't be too mad at LSC, Quillin, or Garcia if they see that Haymon is using Floyd as an example.

What I've said about Mayweather in the past was the only gripe I had with his career is when he briefly "retired" for two years. That's the only criticism I really have with this career. When it boils down to it, who did he duck? Tell me the names of the fighters he ducked. There isn't any names that stand out, the only name is Pacquiao but that's obviously been both sides who have been at fault and it looks like they are fighting now.

It's bullshit to say Leo and Quillin are following Floyd's example. Floyd's WORST opponents are better than the BEST fighters these two guys have fought. What's the worst opponent Floyd has fought, Ortiz and Guerrero? I wish Leo and Quillin fought anyone as good as them.

Margarito, this was right when Floyd left Top Rank there was obviously bad blood between Floyd and Arum and Floyd shortly after got the Oscar fight.

Morales and Barrera? What are you talking about? Those guys were at 122/126 pounds, when they moved up to 130 Floyd was already a welterweight. Floyd started his career at 135. There was never a point in time when a Floyd vs Morales or Barrera would have possibly made any sense.

I talk shit about Floyd the person and his antics. If you look back over the years I've always said he is the best, he's proven, and he hasn't ducked anyone. I dislike the person he's become, not the fighter. The point here is, to say LSC is following the steps of Mayweather is absurd because again, Mayweather PUT IN WORK to get to the top, he beat the top guys, Leo has not and is unwilling to do so.

He never fought the best until recently, and even then he pulls shit like catchweights, showing up heavy...not what a fighter needs to do to be the best ever. I don't care, let him make his money I can't hate. But calling out other fighters for doing what Floyd did is hypocritical breh...

It seems you don't even know what you're talking about. He fought the best at 135. This is undeniable. He gets more props for his early career than he does for his recent career, if anything you have it backwards. If you can't admit that, then who were the best at 135 that Floyd didn't fight? It's like you're just making up stuff as you go since you realized you were completely wrong about Morales and Barrera (which made zero sense for you to say). Floyd's early career was his most impressive, it's when he turned into "Money" after Oscar that he stopped truly challenging himself.

off his game, but he's not talking about who Floyd fought in comparison to LSC. And I'm not comparing Quillin and Garcia to that either. All four foghters have one thing in common and that's their manager, Al Haymon. Haymon presents a blue print to his fighters, Floyd Mayweather and all fighters from GBP 2 years ago, and tells them he will get them huge paydays with low risks. That's why he's getting a lot of fighters to sign. Even Stevenson said that Haymon told him he would be #2 under Floyd.
