Far from a niners fan, but I have to agree with this. Plenty of teams don't play in the city their team is named after. Sometimes it makes more sense to be in a different city, for a lot of reasons, mainly financial. They're still in the bay, so I never understood why it's such a big issue.

This is assuming most people who attend niners games actually live in san francisco. There are plenty of surrounding bay area residents who attend games. The commute will be better for a lot of fans, and worse for some. Either way, I think it's dumb to make fun of a team for getting a new stadium. That's just me though, and I'm giving you a non biased opinion

15 minutes longer, but taking into account how shitty it is leaving candlestick you're probably saving a lot of time. I went to the niners game over the weekend because my girl is from sf and a bunch of her friends and family went and the ticket was free. It took an hour and a half just to get to the bridge. Candlestick is in a terrible location, even if it's a longer distance for most fans, avoiding that traffic will make up for it
