It's interesting that you find my overly critical posts annoying rather than how I find your blindly supportive posts as simply entertaining.

First I think that Walt dying in car crash would be a better ending because it would representative that in life you can come up with the most well thought out, iron clad plan and the randomness and variability of life is completely uncontrollable.

Walt was such the master planner and smart guy, it would have been great to see his plans foiled through no fault of his own, simply due to the uncontrollable nature of life.
Car crash death would be the cheapest, unfulfilling way for Walt to die. Maybe he should have been hit by lightning. Or falling into a manhole while there was construction in the street. Oh way better

The point you're trying to make already unfolded. Because he wasn't planning on dying by his own M60. If he was, he would've stayed standing up. He got hit with a bullet that ricocheted. What was his plan? We don't know and neither do you. So it ended in a way he didn't plan, but not with a stupid car crash. His cancer already showed the uncontrollable nature of life.

You are right, hypocritical would have been a more appropriate word. :classic:
One is telling a scripted story, the other is playing a game and making decisions in real time. Yeah, I see the connection there!

You're really off today man. First Walter should have died in a car crash now comparing BB to the NFL. You're better than this. Have a Snickers

Why is it OK to be critical of professional coordinators who are paid to call plays, but it is not OK to be critical of professional writers who are paid to create stories?

I really don't get how you are making this distinction - one is scripted and one is not? Does the distinction between scripted and unscripted really have any impact on the the quality of performance?

Look I'm just saying does any of this sound slightly familiar lol:

Tragedy

Here are the stages for Tragedy:

Anticipation Stage

The Hero gets focused on "some unusual gratification... object of desire or course of action." At this point, he is "incomplete or unfulfilled."

Dream Stage

Like in many other stories, the Tragic Hero gets "committed to his course of action" (Booker mentions Faust's Deal with the Devil as an example). There's no turning back now. However, at first "things go almost improbably well for the hero." Even if he's doing bad things, nobody seems to be catching on, or even if they catch on they seem unable or unwilling to stop him - he's "getting away with it."

Frustration Stage

Things start to go wrong... perhaps very slowly, "almost imperceptibly," but the Hero is starting to experience difficulties and annoyances. He may decide, at this point, to do "further dark acts which lock him into his course of action even more irrevocably."

There may also appear some "shadow figure" which seems to threaten him (perhaps only in his imagination).

Nightmare Stage

Booker describes this stage better than I can: "...things are now slipping seriously out of the hero's control. He has a mounting sense of threat and despair. Forces of opposition and fate are closing in on him."

Destruction or Death Wish Stage

He's about to go down, hard. This is caused by either "some final act of violence" or because of the various enemies he's made - the "forces he has aroused against him."

Walt dying in a car crash would be a terrible way to end the show. Just because it's unexpected doesn't mean it's a good idea. Maybe walt should have been abducted by aliens... that would be shocking... nobody would expect it... smh
It would have been dope if instead of Walt being shot and dying and stuff, that aliens descended from the sky and abducted him and took him to another planet. Because Jesse notices the alien spaceship as he is driving away he gets in a car accident and dies and the other car jesse crashes into is being driven by skylar and she dies. Walt Jr. having no one to take care of him now and not knowing about the money that Grey matters has for him decides to cook and sell meth.

I'm gonna have to agree with butcher and nice guy, the ending wasn't great. Throughout the show from day one, it made me WOW at times. The ending was MEH.

I wanted them all dead.
