Kaep has proved himself already as being a starter in the league no need to knock him. He's been ineffective the last two for sure.

I don't think anybody thought 49ers would be 1-2 fan or not, just because on paper they may be the best. That doesn't mean it will transition on the field. 49ers went from wk 1 2 now a it stings but let's go 49ers every week.

No excuses shit doesn't always go as expected.

Can't put it all on kap...it's more then just him that's the issue at hand.....I just wanna know what they were thinking about when they abandoned the run game, especially since we were doing so well with it early on!!!

49ers CB Nnamdi Asomugha is undergoing an MRI on his right knee Monday.
Asomugha suffered the injury getting trucked by Ahmad Bradshaw on Sunday. The Niners' nickel back, Asomugha has graded out as a bottom-nine corner in Pro Football Focus' ratings. It wasn't just the scheme in Philly.



49ers ILB Patrick Willis (groin) is undergoing an MRI on Monday, and is not expected to be available for Thursday night's game against the Rams.
Coach Jim Harbaugh has yet to officially rule Willis out, but the odds are slim-to-none that he's ready to return after just three days. Michael Wilhoite filled in for Willis on Sunday, and would likely start against the Rams.



ESPN's Bill Williamson suggests the 49ers' Week 4 Thursday night game played a role in Vernon Davis' (hamstring) absence against the Colts.
The Niners haven't revealed any details about the severity of Davis' pull, so this is all mere speculation. But he was considered a true game-time call in Week 3, suggesting he was at least reasonably close to suiting up. Perhaps the Niners had their eye on a divisional matchup with the Rams on Thursday night. For now, consider Davis a game-time call once again.

It all started with that shitty first penalty call, like I said. That was a clean hit.

Donte Whitner: Any big hit in the NFL is automatically a flag

San Francisco safety Donte Whitner was penalized on the first play of Sunday’s loss to the Colts. He wasn’t happy about it.

“It was a bad call,” Whitner told CSNBayArea.com. “I guess it was a big hit. Any big hit now in the National Football League is automatically a flag.”

Whitner drilled Colts running back Ahmad Bradshaw after Bradshaw picked up three yards on a short pass and a flag flew immediately. Referee Terry McAulay announced, “Personal foul, unnecessary roughness, illegal contact with the crown of the helmet by the defender,” and marched off 15 yards for the Colts.

But replays showed that Whitner led with his shoulder, not the crown of his helmet. Whitner is right: The officials called a penalty not because he led with the crown of his helmet, but because he hit Bradshaw hard, and NFL officials have been so conditioned to look for helmet-to-helmet contact that sometimes they see that contact even when it isn’t there.

I hate to say it but I think things are gonna get worse before they get better. I just read that not even Mike Singletary lost two games in a row by a combined 46 points, like the Niners just did. Also, the Niner have given up more rushing yards in consecutive games than any previous team dating back to the 2-14 team in 2004, under Erickson.


Crabtree, V. Davis, Manningham all out. Other WR's can't get separation. They won't give the ball to Gore. On defense, Willis is out, Williams is out, and the front 7 just haven't been that strong.

and people on here are right, albeit they're being assholes. Teams have figured out the read option, and the Niners are relying on it too heavily. Like I said before, they need to wake the fuck up and work on what they do best, not try to be clever when they don't have the tools to do it.

Relax.... We are playing mediocre/bad football. We have some ego's to check at the door. Playing in the SUper Bowl will do that to you. Kaepernick just played his 10th reg season game and we have injuries up and down the team. It might not be pretty but we will get healthy and back on track soon enough....

Fans, too, get banged up at Sunday’s 49ers game
It was a rough Game Day at Candlestick Park this Sunday, and not just for the Niners.
Fan violence once again reared its ugly head, with reports of several instances at the stadium.

A 15-year-old boy was sent to the hospital with a broken arm, broken nose and a concussion. And an attack on one of the Niners’ faithful fans has her considering never returning to the ‘Stick for another game.
The assault on the teen happened early on in the game. Police say a 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of beating the teenager for allegedly urinating in his car.
A second attack took place as the game ended and the crowd made its way to the gates, according to victim Daisy Barringer.
Whether an arrest was made is not clear.
Barringer, 36, said she was kicked and punched by a female 49ers fan who heard Barringer make a comment to a Colts fan who had bumped into her.
“He didn’t even hear me, but this female Niners fan that was behind me and saw it and heard it and for no reason started laughing, ran toward me and shoulder-checked me really hard,” Barringer said. “Just out of instinct, I pushed her off of me. She just went ballistic and started kicking me.”
The woman ran off, and Barringer followed, trying to flag down security. She said she received a punch in the head and some more kicking from the woman before she got security’s attention.
Police arrived, and Barringer said she told officers she wanted to press charges. But the officers told her that the woman was saying that Barringer had assaulted her too, and that if they arrested the woman, they’d have to arrest Barringer, too.
Eventually, Barringer said she was told that the woman and her boyfriend were being taken away in a police car. She gave her contact information to the police, believing a police report would be filed.
She said she’s still sorting out what happened at Candlestick, and if her alleged assailant had actually been arrested. Police declined to comment on the case.
Barringer has been a season-ticket holder since 2007, and blogs recaps of Niners games for SFist. She bills herself as a die-hard 49ers fan, but said she no longer wants to go to her beloved Candlestick.
“There’s so much violence — it’s Niners fans on Niners fans, women assaulting women,” she said. “I just feel like it’s taken a dark turn. If we win, people drink too much and are happy drunk. Because we lost, it turned into anger. I’ve just had so many problems there.”
She said she’s seen this darkness before during a game against the Green Bay Packers. Niners fans took pleasure in heckling two Packers fans in her section, who were just there to enjoy the game. At a Raiders pre-season game, she said she’s experienced people groping her in the crowd.
“It just changed,” Barringer said. “I don’t usually make generalizations, but the caliber of fans has just gone downhill. People are looking for a fight, and I truly just don’t understand it. I just don’t understand any of this.”
